I read the description of these belts and found it sounded almost too good to be true. But guess what? It IS TRUE that machines run much smoother and the amount of vibration reduction is incredible. I never really would have believed it had I not switched my belts. I had a Sears band saw that I was actually going to tear down and look for someone to balance the blade wheesl because of the vibration it had when running. It was literally like a brand new machine when I installed the Power Twist belt.

Although my band saw (Grizzly 19"-3 hp) had a little vibration with a conventional belt I thought I'd give this a try. It did make a little difference in the vibration, which wasn't bad to start with, but it did make a more significant difference in the noise. I had to go to You Tube to see which side of the belt went in the groove of the pulley. The tabs that stick out of the links go in the pulley groove despite the curvature of the belt as shown in the picture. Be sure to observe the directional arrows imprinted on the belt so you don't have to install it twice like I did.
I wish I knew about this back when I had my old lathe that required pulling the headstock apart to replace the trapped belt.

I first got one of these belts a couple years ago for my 10 year old Craftsman table saw, and was amazed at the noticeable difference in sound and almost elimination of vibration. My career has me moving often, and because of that it's easier to rent an apartment for a year or two than keep buying houses, so my belt driven tools aren't used as often as needed to prevent a memory from setting in the belt. This summer I was trying to turn a project on my lathe, and the wobble in the chuck was almost 1/2" out of true. Ordered 4' of Power Twist V-link belt, shortened it to the length I actually needed, and the wobble was down to almost nothing. I should have been a complete believer after putting it on my table saw, but now I'm a zealot.

It was cheaper buying (4) 1' sections from Peach Tree (the 3rd party Amazon vendor I used) than (1) 4' section from Rockler. But it does come in 4 sections that have to be put together before you can size it to your use. With a pair of needle nose pliers it's easy to connect the links, and I just put the extra length aside to be used on my drill press.

Power Twist V-Link Belt 1/2'' wide (Sold per foot)

The belts work great in reducing vibration. It runs smoother than traditional belts and can be adjusted without really using a belt tensioner. It is very, very practical to remove a few links to fit it to any systems! The only gripe that I have about this belt is the price. It could have been a bit cheaper.

I bought a Grizzly saw with this belt on it. I just borke after 7 years of regular use. Ten minuites and I had it patched and running again. Now I am looking for a back up as the orginal is showing signs of wear. It completely elimiates vibration and improved accuracy.

I used these guys on my table saw and on my jointer-drum sander combo, and they're awesome. I didn't think they'd do anything on either one: the only reason I used it on the table saw was because it was recommended to me. And the only reason I tried it on the jointer was because I didn't think it would work for the table saw so I figured maybe I'd be wrong about the jointer too. And I was. These guys are great at reducing vibrations and if you want something that isn't over-priced that will help to improve the smoothness of your cuts, then this is one option. Between this guy, adding weight, using a new blade and blade stiffener, the contractor saw I had once before is like a new light-sabre.

Great belts to use in a pinch - I wouldn't use them long term - They are noisy!
Very easy to use and great to keep a couple around just in case the regular belt breaks. You could use these full time if you wanted no problem but the added noise bothers me.

Installed in an old craftsman jointer and made quite an improvement. The reduction in noise and vibration was very noticeable. Didn't take long at all to install. And I like that individual links can be replaced if broken.
