Some people complained this was cheaply made, this is simply not true. This product does have to be used carefully. You can't just ream on it once its in the down position, or I could see it breaking. But once the cap is settled on the bottle a slow steady pressure brings the capper down until the handles are level. When the handles are level, the cap is on, and there is no need to push further. If you are bottling while standing above the capper and putting your weight down on it, you can over-extend the levers and they would snap. This seems only common sense.
I found this very easy to use, and it has capped over 300 bottles successfully so far for me and I don't anticipate it breaking.
