Wil not be ordering from this seller again. Pretty bummed out and disappointed about the flavor difference. It's like this are some cheaper remake of the original deal ;) Probably because they are old.
But, you get what you pay for. Lesson learned!
Spend a little more $ and get this from another seller is my advice to you.
1. It seems that the product was purchased (or... not?) by the seller and then taken out of original packaging to be put in a simple cardboard box banded with red duct tape. Yes... DUCT TAPE.
2. No nutrition facts or expiration date on the package.
3. No sealed package either.
So far I've had a few of them in the last couple of days and I'm still alive and well - so, I guess, no foul play. However, I'd be more satisfied (and less worried) if the product was left in original factory-sealed boxes.
I wonder if it's even okay with FDA to sell items in the manner it's sold?
If you have not tried these, they have an almond center with a creamy layer around that and then the coconut on the outside. Heaven. I don't eat chocolate, and there aren't many great candies for non chocolate eaters. This is it.
I can eat just one and feel like I am cheating. They are very rich. However, if you want to indulge, 3 candies is one serving.
They are a bit messy to eat (especially for the kids); the shredded coconut on the outside comes off so you just need to make sure you're eating over a dish or napkin. Also, I personally wouldn't use the box they come in as a "gift box." It's all right but it has a big label on it that is not very gift-box-like (see photos); I would put them in a gift bag or use wrapping paper if I were giving these as a gift.
I received these at a promotional discount in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
Christmas was a great surprise. I now have my grandson looking for them when he visits. They were fresh and delicious. I
have purchased stale ones before....ugh, they can taste rancid if they are old.

I loved this product because it is the most decadent candy I believe I've ever tasted. It's not overly sweet, it's not overly coconut type, it has a small amount of this delicious... Read morePublished 3 months ago by cathy
