What do we learn? Many things. It is not possible for me to go over all the wealth of this information, but I'll try to highlight the most salient points:
1. There is not as much coordination among law enforcement agencies as there could be, and it is going to take (likely) another tragedy before such coordination start happening in earnest.
2. Nearly all the prisoners who do this type of criminal behavior/ planning are black and Arab. But being black comes second fiddle to waging a war against the West. If we are to believe what is written, most people choose to become Islamic radicals over black radicals simply because of the scope of the former for mischief.
3. It is amazing how many people commit murder or some other felony and then are given an academic job at some university somewhere. (Angela Davis at University of California. Kathy Boudin at Columbia University. Salahudin Muhammad at Marist College.) Is something wrong with this picture?
What could have been done better?
1. There was not a single graph or table in the book that showed the actual scale of this problem. These stories were interesting, but they were only anecdotes. The plural of "anecdotes" is not data.
2. I know that the ACLU has been instrumental in making it easy for Muslim terrorists to do destructive things. It might have been nice to meet one or two examples of the legal obstacles that were put up by them.
3. How well organized are these Muslims compared with, say white supremacists or Colombian drug cartels?
4. A couple of photos would have been nice.
Of the book itself:
1. This book only takes about 3 hours to read from start to finish. I read nearly the whole thing in one sitting.
2. The writing is very light and easy to follow.
3. It is heavily and thoroughly sourced and referenced. Even if it was not written by an academic (which may be a blessing in disguise), it did have enough information so that you can't fail to get something out of it. And it did have enough sources so that you can choose anything you want for further reading.
Verdict:Worth the time. Worth the money.
