I guess I always start with food but this is a fantastic resource for both women and men. It’s way more than a cookbook. The book is filled with well-researched and cited information on eating to prime the body for pregnancy. They lay out a foundation on how to eat for optimal fertility and provide tables and tips along the way to guide you to the right nutrients and the recipes to match. The authors also share their real life experiences with fertility which really helps bring it all together in a very personal way.
The authors broke down all of the recipes so that you can use a color-coded guide to see what food groups are in each recipe. They also included allergens/intolerances and made notes if the recipes are vegan or vegetarian. This book is such an excellent resource for moms-who-hope-to-be and the people who love them!
Ohh and another favorite part about the book is that all foods are included - delicious cookies, pizza, bruschetta, pancakes, biscuits and so much more! I hope you enjoy this as much as I have so far!!
This book dives into fertility nutrition but in a clear, not overwhelming way. It is so detailed and full of so much excellent information, and is easy to understand... Not dense and dry.
I am not pregnant or trying at this point, but this book is going to be a permanent resource in my kitchen. With so many healthy, fulfilling recipes in here, this is great for everyone. It covers everything from light food to comfort food.
I purchased this book because I wanted healthy recipes for me and my family. And I got it. I can continue to lay the healthy food foundation my family needs.
