I bought this book out of curiosity and realized I had struck gold. The empirical approach followed by Dr. Maynard Murray to test and verify the benefits of enriching the soil with the raw minerals found in ocean water is a work of genius. As often with geniuses who were ahead of their time, this groundbreaking work fell into oblivion.

Charles Walters does a fantastic job of recounting this amazing story. Using ocean solids (i.e. raw sea salt) on a large scale would revolutionize modern agriculture. It would also probably rescue it from the curse of depleted soils poisoned with pesticides and herbicides, without reducing crop yields, the new gold standard of farming.

There is fortunately a way out of the dilemma organic farming versus productivity. This book is also about this essential issue of quality versus quantity. We can feed the world and keep it healthy at the same time. This is great news for all those among us who want to preserve our God-given creation as a natural environment, free from the destructive side-effects of industrialized agriculture.

The only weak point is the wording and structuring of some sentences which are a little challenging for the reader at times. That being said, this small detail does not detract anything from the strength of this book's message. Every person seriously interested in organic / natural agriculture should read it.

As a follow up to Sea Energy Agriculture, this book is essential.
Written towards the end of Charles Walters' illustrious career,
it details the vital contribution of ocean water's rare minerals to
optimal human health. As an aside, I visited an engineer here in
Ecuador who has worked with ocean solids his entire career.
He was aware of the major seven elements -- (hydrogen, oxygen,
sodium, chlorine, calcium, magnesium, and sulfur) -- found in
ocean water, but had no knowledge of the other 90. We know
so much about the macronutrients, and so little about the micro
and their importance.

If more farmers, agronomists, doctors, dietitians, and those in their
allied disciplines were aware of the contents of this book,
the world would be a very different place.

A good follow-up to Sea Energy Agriculture but read Sea Energy Agriculture first... Learn why it is important to grow your food with the addition of a small amount of sea salt... One teaspoon per gallon... See the review for Sea Energy Agriculture...

Anyone and everyone working with the land should have a copy. Our last frontier is the ocean and we need to respect it for what it is. This book reveals our oceans as a huge mineral resource that we can bring back to the land to replenish it with what mankind has raped it of.

I am of the Gulf of Mexico and of the land in which nature has provided life as we know it. The way sea salt provides a renewing of the process will give others a chance to live it.
