As an artist, color is a thing of magic in my life. Color creates shapes, forms, and feelings in the artworks I paint. Laying color onto a blank page is when I feel closest to true magic, when I feel happiest and most relaxed, and it's through what I create that I share my love of magic with the world.
Through my coloring books I want to share that same magic with you.The artworks in my books are based on my completed paintings, which I have painted over the last ten years as a professional artist. I have created the coloring designs to be intricate and detailed but still fun and accessible. There is something for lovers of meditative detail while simple enough to not be overwhelming for younger colorists.
When designing my books I decided to print them with two copies of each design, because I know as an artist there are always so many possibilities! I wanted to give everybody the chance of a do-over with every design. Try a different medium, or a different colour scheme. Or a chance to share the magic with a friend, child, parent, sibbling. Because sharing your creativity and joy of color is the best magic of all.

I for some reason didn't realize that this was a Christmas book but it's ok because although there are a few Christmas themed most are just pictures of beautiful women.
One issue I had with this particular book is that it is really skimpy on the back grounds. Usually there are trees or stones or sky or dragons or something, in this book, out of the 25 illustrations, just a few have a background. It's not my favorite but I'm still happy.
I use markers and pens and colored pencils to color with. The markers always bleed through so you must put paper between your pages. Or tear out the page. The pages aren't perforated though so be careful!
I just wish the paper in the books could be more like the quality of Jasmine Becket -Griffith. You need to be careful to use a blotter piece of cardboard between the pages not to bleed onto the next picture.
In this book of 25 4 angels are printed in a bookmark style. I 'm planning to put on cardboard and add ribbons to them.
As with all her books she includes a second set of each design divided into two books. Unlike other authors who put the designs in pairs. The book method is a nicer format in my opinion.
This book includes :
~25 designs in 2 book division.
~all designs are printed on one side of the page with a title on the back for facing page.
~ Paper is white and thin side. Gel pens will leave a heavy shadow. A blotter page should be used. I used Super Doodle and Color Technik Gel pens they showed shadowing but, no warping of the page.
I would highly recommend this book to others that are looking to celebrate a festive fantasy and magical season.
