Drew decides to sell the Inn and get rid of the money pit. Sydney, the only girl in the family is emotionally attached. So Drew turns it over to her to try her luck. She really needs about $300,000 to pay off the debt and then pay for renovations. No bank will lend her the money already owing $200,000. She doesn't have it nor does she have anywhere but one place to possibly get it. Her best friend has done well in Hollywood and she is more than willing to loan her the money but Sydney doesn't want to ask her friend for money and have that possibly come between them. There just doesn't seem to be an answer to her problem. Not until....
Wyatt is an IT billionaire. He is young, arrogant and loaded. He will take a small business about to go under and put money and smarts into it and bring it back to life. He becomes a partner and an idea man. He is good at what he does. He and Sydney do not exactly hit it off when they meet. Wyatt is always teasing and picking at Sydney and she doesn't know how to handle it. He has offered to buy her Inn, renovate it and then let Sydney manage it and he will be the marketing guy behind the scenes. The price? He becomes part owner and Sydney is having none of that.
This is a fun, cute story. Sydney got on my nerves a little bit with her high thoughts - especially after they are engaged but to each his own. I really liked Wyatt. He was a fun character with a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. Sydney needed to lighten up a bit. But all told, it is a good story and I definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 6/29/2021.
Sydney is the owner of the local restaurant and bar called the Horseman Inn. It has been owned by her family for generations. She is determined to revitalize it and make it a success. The ship or rather the Inn will not go down on her watch. She’s trying her best to handle the situation when in waltzes Wyatt Winters. A tech genius who loves to help failing or near failing businesses and make them a success. His target is The Horseman Inn. The only thing is that Sydney wants nothing to do with him or his money. The push and pull with these characters was unreal. Even when they finally get together, their knowledge of relationships is questionable. Through it all they manage to find their happily ever after. It just gave me all the feels.

Sydney is the manager of a failing restaurant. It's a family heirloom and she is bent on keeping it, even when all odds are against her.
Wyatt projects this unpleasant persona. He has a habit of acting before asking. It's all with good intentions. Sydney refuses to accept help from anyone. She jumps to conclusions and is very stubborn. Both main characters have their faults. Then again, who is perfect?
It's a fairly short read, and can be frustrating at times.
Wyatt and Sydney’s antagonism toward each other was initially annoying (just sit down and have a real conversation you two!) but once they got together, the rest of the story unfolded perfectly. If you are fans of the enemies to lovers trope, this will not disappoint!
It's my favourite type.... It has a beginning, a middle and an ending!
It's not one of those books where you feel cheated having spent good money to then discover that it only contains a few paragraphs!
Plus, although there are the usual bumps in the road, it has a HEA.
Can't wait for the rest of the books to see all the friends and siblings hopefully find their matches
I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving a ARC copy of this book
For those who like romance, it's a delightful book to lie on the beech with although I found little comedy in it.
The style reads well making it a relaxing book to pass the time between cocktails.
