Now, ten years later, Serafina will have to face her past in an up-close and personal manner. She had gone undercover in order to seek out where a sacred artifact, the keystone, might be located. The resistance has it under good authority that the keystone was located in the mage controlled city of Elmira. That is a very dangerous place for Serafina because it is the mages that are killing her kind and if she is caught, there will be no one to help her. Not only does she have to worry about the threat of death or dismemberment but Serafina has to join up with her enemies under the guise of being a part of the hunter’s guild. The very same guild that hunts her kind!
Serafina is up against some pretty long odds and she knew that going in, but what she never expected was that she was also going to have to deal with a confrontation with her estranged husband, Bastian Novare. Bastian has a huge, deep, and complete grudge against the fey as he blames them for the loss of both his wife and mother. Not only that, but he feels that they are also somehow to blame for the sickness that is slowly killing his sister. Wow, wow, wow! There is a lot going on that Serafina has to overcome in order to complete her mission, but along the way she will also have to confront some truths that are almost too unbelievable to believe. Truths that can change everything for both Serafina and Bastian.
I liked Serafina’s character a lot. She was up against great odds but she never faltered. I also liked that when she was faced with choices where she could have served her own interests or helped another, she always chose to help another. Bastian is not a bad guy but he is definitely on the wrong side of things from my perspective. There were many great supporting characters in this story that added interest and humor and that was very pleasing. Overall, Fey Spy was a fast pace read that took many great elements and wove them together into a fantastic tale that had me ready for more! I did not want the story to end when it did but I also can’t wait for the next installment in this series.
This review is based on a complimentary book I received from Author, Tiffany Shand. It is an honest and voluntary review. The complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.
Bas cant believe after 10 years, Sera is actually alive. Even though they were just kids when they were married and the accident that he thought took her away from him, she shows up out of now where. After years of raging wars, the fragile peace time is on the verge of war. With Bas and Sera involved for different reasons and on different sides, can they keep their feelings at bay while fighting for what they believe in?
Excellent read. I absolutely loved this book. The author has a great style of writing that kept glued until the very end. Sera's strength and determination was one of my favorite chatacterics and how Bas never gave up on her. I am looking forward to the next book when its released. I gave this a five star read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from

We get some great world building and the thing that always impresses me most with this author is the character development. Love them or hate them, each character is distinctive and colorful, and you can't help but get sucked into their story. I, for one, will be anxiously awaiting whatever's next in this intriguing world.
