About the Author
Simisayo Brownstone - By day, she's a Strategy Executive, crunching numbers and plotting graphs. By night, she's a disorganized mom trying to keep up with tantrums and dirty dishes. When she finds time for herself, she spends it daydreaming about what it would be like to live in a world with real magic. A world where eating cotton candy makes you skinny and butterflies can transport you through time. And even though she knows she's no longer 16, she secretly hopes that she'll one day find out she has super powers. Teleportation would be nice. Until that day comes, she writes.

I’ll also admit that though I bought it to give as a gift to a friend’s daughter, I actually devoured it in 20minutes - I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait for the next installment!
My 8-year-old daughter and I both read Feyi Fay recently. It is the story of Feyi Fay, a magical helper called a kuzooly. Kazoolies are dispatched to children in need of help when they are called through a Magic app. This story is about a little boy, Tom, who is afraid of a mysterious woman called Madam Koi Koi who he believes is going to take him away to a land of no fun.
My daughter breezed through the story and enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought the plot was thin and found that it didn’t always flow well, but there were some good themes about bravery that I appreciated. Ultimately I may not have loved the book, but my daughter liked it and that’s what often matters with kid’s books!
