I exceptionally encourage learning professionals to read this book--but with a warning they may definitely get more than they expect. The Field Guide to the 6Ds helped me and my organization to get better business results and I am 100% sure that your organizations will benefit from The Field Guide to the 6Ds also.
Templates and usage for the reader at any stage are always a superior idea, because even if your audience does not have the skillset of a seasoned vet, with some support, they could set the stage with some templates and assistance from others.
That said, this book is an excellent resource for every training department. I found The 6Ds company while researching methodologies for implementing Level 3 and 4 evaluations. Everything they had to say connected with me to the point that we used their methodologies as the basis for aligning our training to Business Outcomes and the importance of ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
I highly recommend this book for any training department. You owe it to yourself and your stakeholders to use the methodologies outlined in this book.
