From the Publisher
"Matt Kracht's hilarious, fully illustrated, obscenely satirical spoof, 'The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America.' The bizarrely-behaving 50 birds that Kracht describes are technically real - the White-Breasted Nuthatch, the Canada Goose, etc. - though the author can't resist giving them insulting nicknames (The White-Breasted Butt Nugget, for example) while pointing out their various annoying peculiarities."
"There are loads of books out there for bird lovers, but until now, nothing for those that love to hate birds. The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America fills the void, packed with snarky illustrations that chastise the flying animals in a funny, profane way. "

I still like the drawings, but the "F" bombs were too much for my delicate sensibilities.
At this point I don't know what to do with it. I can't comfortably donate it to any organization that I know of, and I wouldn't want to encourage this sort of thing in any fourteen year old males (who might be the only persons who would find it funny.) I'm contemplating burning it.
This is my new favorite bathroom read. I learn and laugh. Highly recommended for all bird lovers and even bird haters! All will enjoy reading this book and gain new insight into the squawking and annoying beasts that loom overhead.

I am not thrilled when birds (swallows) nest ON my home, I am not thrilled while I clean bird poop off my furniture, and I am not thrilled when crows wake me up at 3:30a.m, as the sun is rising in northern Canada.
But I was thrilled with this hilarious book!
