To be more effective in my role and as part of my learning objectives, the book will help me to focus on two important aims: (1) build on how I can provide better leadership and/or follow-through consultancy for advocating or administering change programmes; and (2) gain explicit awareness of my personal change (and competencies) to exercise change methods in a real life situations.
The best part of the book is to start the change process beginning with myself. In future roles, it will be important to continue working with teams across business boundaries and to be able to demonstrate background knowledge in all fundamental parts of organisational and business development. Flexibility and knowledge will be required to change whatever I do that doesn't work; or to change my action plan if the current one does not produce the required results.
As well, my role requires that people need to change or adapt, which means I must be prepared to take first step myself. Therefore the book will be invaluable to help me enter practical situations in which I have to (decide how to) manage my own change processes effectively and responsibly in terms of developing and introducing alternative perspectives and new avenues on methods for diagnosis, conflict handling and intervention.

I don't like to use "love" for things, but I really believe this is a good tool for consultants in the OD field. A great basic guide book.

I firmly believe that book is under advertised. I used this text to add theory to my MSc in Management while in my role as a consultant. It is an excellent relevant text for Change which any business would implement in order to improve performance.
This book should be a 'look inside' text to offer a feel of the work.
