beautiful Practical Guide to Living. Some months ago I read The Four Agreements and listened also to it read by Peter Cayote's excellent rendition of it. The CD, in my opinion, brings the message of the book to life. Being impeccable with one's word, not making assumptions, not taking things personally and doing the best one can (the four agreements) become clearer as one works to understand the Fifth Agreement of having an open mind ( being positive in your critical observations) combined with the art of listening to others. I love the message of this book and it is one that I will reread since it has a depth of information that I couldn't master in one reading.
If you never read The Four Agreements, they are discussed, each in its own chapter in The Fifth Agreement - and with a depth and clarity that goes beyond the author's fathers original work that so many of us treasure.
If you are buying just one book on personal/spiritual development, this is the book to get.
Amazing book. It has completely changed my life, by shifting my perspective - providing me with a broader, calming approach towards life, changing my perspective on dealing with insecurity of Self, dealing with interactions with other people, and living life fully.
If you are willing to listen, this book will speak to you on many levels.
This has really helped me understand that life it what you make it. You can't control everything, but you can control how you react to it. Never stop learning and growing.
