About the Author
Cris grew up in Minnesota where life centered on family and friends, outdoor activities, pets, music, and reading. She also wrote short stories and terrible poetry. Then the fun writing stopped and she attended the university. She earned a doctorate in counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
A psychotherapist for over thirty years, Cris has a passion for encouraging people. She tells patients who feel dried up inside, "You can't pour from an empty pitcher." Writing for fun again, Cris hopes her fiction not only entertains but pours into readers' deepest needs.
Cris and her husband live in Wisconsin, not too far from the grandkids.
She's a member of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW).

“Fifty Days to Sunrise” is all about people, relationships, growth and healing. Growth and development is intricately layered as the reader is privy to the transformation process of the lead character. She works to move on from the pain of her husbands unexpected passing as well as issues with her parents and friends from her childhood; a total reset for part 2 of her life.
If you’re looking for a faced paced, exciting read, this is not the book for you. Cristine Eastin has penned a slow flowing, well written study of the family and it’s intimate relationships in the later seasons of life. “Fifty Days to Sunrise” is a chronicled how-to of one woman’s journey to a place of restoration.
This book was given to me by the Author in exchange for my honest review which I have given. All views are my own.
This is such a wonderful Christian book that I was sad to finish.
Dr. Eastin, woman, wife, step-mother, grandmother and psychotherapist, gently and thoughtfully writes for us Lissa’s painful and twisted journey from devastated to optimistic. In the nurturing setting, original characters and universal pains of the heart, Dr. Eastin details for us a compassionate and healing path to the future.
I recommend this book to anyone seeking a hopeful heart.
Dating pat 49 is a struggle no one talks about. Lissa deals with it in a mature yet
Still an adolescent (with good brain function) full of conflicting feelings..from the past present and future.
I like that it deals with aging parents, being a parent,a sibling a grand parent and friend...and last but not least a wife.
A great book.
I am so happy that I purchased this book, you will also.
It was a journey of recovery after a death. It was a story of finding self after a great loss. It is filled with renewed strength, hope and trust in God.
I highly recommend this book for everyone.
