I've put a few into the weekly dinner rotation here. Bacon au Gratin is one of my favorites. Other recipes, like bacon ice cream, are a bit much even for the bacon lovers at my house. I think this cookbook would make a great gift for any bacon lover. It's such a cute idea. I think I'll buy a few more and give them away as Christmas gifts.

I, personally, never pay that much for a book for myself. But it's not bad for a Christmas or Birthday gift. I got it for my brother for Christmas as he has a major love affair with bacon, and if you have a good price range per person's gift of $15-$30, like I do, it's not a bad idea.

I feel that it was made fast and lazy in comparison to 50 shades of chicken. 50 shades of chicken has a thought out reindition of 50 shades of greay and is very funny and clever. It is thought out and has a lot of worth while recipies and resembels the size and shape of 50 shades of grey book.

One of the recipes is for bacon bits...I don't need to buy a book to learn how to make bacon bits. Should have researched this book before buying, it would have saved me a few bucks. Advice to anyone else interested, just go to pinterest instead.

Wollte mit diesem Buch jemanden verführen, der Bacon liebt. Naja mit dem Typen ist es leider nichts geworden, das Essen jedoch war unglaublich köstlich. Das Buch ist, wie der Titel schon vermuten lässt, auf Englisch, und ich würde es wirklich nur Leuten empfehlen , die sehr gutes Englisch können, da auch die Mengen auf Englisch angegeben sind und dies dann evtl. ein bisschen schwierig sein könnte. Auch natürlich was die Zutaten betrifft, da nicht immer alle Bestandteile zu 100% in deutsche/österreichische Produkte übernehmen kann. Hier ist dann doch ein bisschen Kreativität gefragt.
Das Buch selbst ist witzig geschrieben und der eine oder andere Grinser kommt einem schon beim durchblättern über die Lippen. Die Rezepte selbst sind sehr anregend, es sind keine 0-8-15 Rezepte, aber auch keine 5 Sternekoch Gerichte oder völlig Unbekanntes, das man nicht hinbekommen würde. Ich koche nicht jeden Tag , und habe trotzdem einige Rezepte aus dem Buch schon gekocht und stets nur positive Rückmeldungen bekommen ;)
Für gut englisch sprechende Hobbyköche und Baconliebhaber mit Humor und Offenheit für Neues, nicht alltägliches und doch nicht kompliziertes, ist das Buch also auf alle Fälle empfehlenswert. Einziger Kritikpunkt - das Buch ist leider nicht gebunden, die Vorder- und Rückseiten sind also nicht verstärkt, das macht das Nachlesen während man kocht ein bisschen umständlich. Bebilderung und Beschreibungen sind jedoch top, außerdem sehr übersichtlich geschrieben!
