This one is better than the first, I think? Mostly because Jamie Dornan is so attractive. I also like his driver played by Maximilian Martini for his rugged reassuring stage presence. Thank you.
As for the films, well, a good part of the dialogue does not make any sense unless you have read the books to fill in the skipped parts, or your friends who have read them will tell you how in the world something came to be.
Just a couple of examples: on Fifty Shades of Grey, what led to Christian's belting Ana at the end of the movie? In the book, Ana woke up, Christian was playing the piano; they talked; she teased him by running from him; he got mad because she could fall and get hurt and for making him wait. In the movie, they made sweet love before sleep and he woke up seething like an angry beast, wanting to punish Ana for heaven knows why. On Fifty Shades Darker, how did Leila know that the car she destroyed belonged to Ana? Well, because Christian was such a doofus that he bought the woman he is in love with, whom he considers so especial and different from the others, the same car he gave all his subs.
In short, these famous Hollywood film makers made tons of money being as thorough as a bunch of second graders would have been, skipping parts of the story with no regard for continuity or meaning. Incidentally, viewers do not mind because, mostly, the movies are just long infomercials showing how easy and fun life would be if we had money to burn on expensive superfluous stuff and all the time in the world to indulge in our pastimes. As if all this wasn’t enough, just like the books, the second and third films are progressively worse than the first.

The film is better than the first BUT the unmasked version with the 13 minute's extra scenes is better. Amazon do not state this in the description and have the unmasked version available to download which is what I want. Bad show Amazon
For fans it is something to be savoured as an indulgence. Obviously you will know what happens next, but it's like chocolate, you still want to taste it anyway.
