The package includes a 1 inch L cable to go from your audio source to the aux in input of the amp, a micro usb cable, a rubber foot, a couple rubber bands to hold to your device, and warranty card.
The amp is very small, probably 1/3 the size of my galaxy s4 in an otterbox, which is the phone this is hooked up to. Some people have complained that because of the fact that the amp is curved that it does not stack well with phones, but the curvature is very minimum and it stacks great with my phone, especially with the included rubber foot.
The amp is hooked up to my Galaxy s4 and im using V Moda M100 crossfade headphones. The difference in sound is night and day! I listen to alot of bass heavy music, and the Vmodas paired with this amp are a beautiful combo.
Bass: The amp has a little bass switch on the front by the volume knob (gain switch on the other side) and it gives a nice little boost to the bass, without leaking into the higher frequencies like most software eq's tend to.
Mids: if you know the m100's you know that they have a v shaped signature meaning the bass and highs are up front with the mids being recessed. Well when the gain was turned to high, along with some EQ work on power amp, mids were much nicer and more prominent. Vocals are much better than before.
Sound is so much more clear. Highs are crisp and clean yet not overbearing or harsh. Female vocal are eloquent and smooth. Hi hats and crashes sound nearly life like. Great sound.
Volume: This little thing packs a punch! Before, when listening to spotify I would always have the volume turned all the way up, and it still really wasn't loud enough. With spotify at 100% volume, I usually keep the amp at around 60% (5 to 6 on the volume knob, it goes to 9) and it's still louder! At full volume the headphones rock out with no distortion, literally shakes my face, but I don't do if often because I like being able to hear!
Overall I have no complaints about this amp. I can't compare it to other amps because I have not used any, but it has turned my terrible galaxy s4 sound into something worth listening to. Highly recommend if you like loud music and good sound. Next upgrade is a better phone with a better dac!
Had a couple extra shekels in my pocket and decided to try the A3. The upgrade was very much worth the extra money. Even though I am hard of hearing, I am very aware of THD. This are one of the cleanest amps I have ever experienced. I keep it on full power at all times and never experience distortion Amplified sound is natural and true to the music. No artificial highs or lows. Just pure, amplified sound. As good with TV as is with lossless music. It's been dropped, run over, spit out a lawn mower. Still works. I miss the clip on the EO6. The bass boost has never worked but that's ok. Plenty of bass without it.
I have paired these with a myriad of buds and always come back to the Philips SHE3590. Less than 10 bucks, performance like 100.
The high gain is remarkable throughout a very broad dynamic range. I listen to hard rock/metal and the mid, treble, and bass responses with my Monster headphones are great... The mids are superior and I get a good bass "thump" with the drums and guitar, even with rock, and without saturation. I haven't tried out the bass response to rap, but I have no reason to believe it would be unsatisfactory, but that's got more to do with the speakers/headphones.
I'm not sure how well the sound or lack of saturation would be on cheaper headphones, but if you're looking for something that will greatly boost your volume, this is definitely it!
It has a Hi/Low gain switch as well as a Hi/Low bass switch and an analog volume dial. The switches seem unnecessary to me as, being an external amplifier, the purpose is to boost gain and bass, so the switch settings could have been "hard wired" and the switches removed. This may have reduced the cost some.
It comes with a couple of cables, but they are pretty short (one is unacceptably short), so I would spend a few bucks on longer cables.

-It raised the volume, but the quality and detail dropped obviously.
-Unqualified Power !!!
In music like dubstep, that is very true.
Otherwise, sometimes I wish I could have a half bass boost option.Read more
