Product Description

Fila began in 1911, in the small alpine town of Biella, Italy, a place renowned for manufacturing the world's finest textiles, and weaving fabrics with impeccable quality, true innovation and extraordinary beauty. Born of the city and its traditions, Fila is inexorably derived from Biella's dedication to artistry, luxury and elegance. This is our birthright, it's in our soul, and it defines our future. We continue to enrich the athletic experience by improving comfort and performance with Italian design, quality craftsmanship and refined materials. There is no feeling quite as luxurious as that of playing in Fila, and that is the reason for our existence. We create what is desired, not what is necessary. Not just enough, but more than you need. This is Fila.

I have very mixed feelings about these shoes. As far as comfort, they are probably the best shoes I have ever worn. My wife and I went to Hawaii and hiked 8 miles on the Kalalau trail through every terrain imaginable wearing these shoes. Our feet were somewhat worn at the end, but whose weren't? We had no problems with the support or anything.

The MAJOR flaw with these shoes, however, is the durability. My first pair of shoes ripped on my big toe right where the fabric meets the rubber of the sole. This wasn't after heavy use, either. I ripped it after bumping my toe on a staircase literally 2 minutes after wearing them for the first time! Thankfully, I was able to exchange that pair.

My wife wasn't so lucky. After we finished hiking the aforementioned trail, she had ripped holes in nearly every toe. She had problems with sand and dirt filling the shoes and grating against her feet. I had learned how to walk more softly in my shoes, so I didn't experience any rips. For that reason alone I would discourage purchasing them if you are planning to get heavy use out of them.

When I first got these shoes, I wrote a glowing 5-star review. I apologize to anyone who bought a pair based on that review. While I still love the concept (I am an LMT and think they're great for your feet) this particular shoe is terrible. Both my son and I had holes in our toes in less than a month. We've since switched to the Vibram brand and there is a remarkable differnce. I've worn them almost daily for 4 months and they look like new. We even hiked Yosemite in them! They're alot more money, but worth every penny.

So, again, I still love the concept, but not this particular shoe. If I hadn't been so busy after the holidays, I probably would have returned them for a refund.

I workout in a Kettlebell gym regularly. Footwear here is either barefoot or shoes that are as close to bare as possible. My toes are sensitive so I opt for the latter.
Been using Vibram 5 fingers for the last 6 months. In the last week I have tried in addition to Fila Skeletoes 2.0, the Adidas Adipure Trainer and the Fila EZ Slide.
The 2.0's are the most comfortable and protective of the lot. The EZ Slides hurt the top of my feet, the Vibrams pinch my toes. The Adidas are a nice effort but the design and lack of velcro leaves the shoes disconnected from the whole movement of the body. I should add that visually the Vibrams are way more attractive than the rest especially the Komodo model. However, the pain is just not worth the Rock Star good looks.
The Skeletoes low price is a bonus, but even if they cost as much as the Vibrams, I would gladly buy them. Ordered a 2nd pair today in a shocking shade of chartreuse.

I bought these expecting them to be my new workout shoes and after about 3 runs with them I had already worn a hole into one of the toes. I think they fit great and they feel great to work out in. They just don't hold up very well

For a start this product was a poor imitation of the original five finger shoes, the sole is way to thick, however the grouping of the 4th and 5th toes is not a bad idea. Nevertheless the shoe became un-stiched after one wearing.

I recently purchased a pair of the Fila Skele-Toes 2.0 running shoes because I had similar shoes like this in recent years and enjoyed walking and sometimes running with the prior pair of similar shoes. I noticed one thing on this pair was it has 4 toes and I have to shove 2 toes into the smallest toe compartment here, which sometimes can be a pain to do. Next pair I get will have 5 toe slots on the shoes.
Overall, these Fila running shoes are comfortable to wear casually, walking or running for a bit. They are still fine but for extended running, not very comfortable, tho walking is fine no matter the distance, despite there is not much cushioning in these shoes. I prefer to wear these running shoes in wet weather as they dry fast and seem to grip decently on wet pavements also. I like the styling and materials of these shoes too.
The only real negative issue I have had with these shoes is sometimes it's hard to get the toes to get into the proper toe slot on these shoes, but in time, I get the toes into the slots. Not as fast as putting on regular sneakers, that's for sure.
So overall, I like these running shoes and wear them daily. They are interesting shoes but probably not for the hard-core runner, tho I think I spotted versions of this running shoe out there for more intensive runners.

THIS SHOE IS WHAT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, IT IS EASY TO GET ON AND OFF AND IT WORKED WELL IN THE WATER ON THOSE SURFACES THAT HURT YOUR FEET. I DID NOT EXPERIENCE ANY SLIPAGE OR ISSUES WITH THIS SHOE. JUST HAD THEM A WEEK CAN'T SPEEK ON THE DURABILITY.

I purchased these while they were available for $28 on Amazon.com. For that price, they are great... I wouldn't pay 50-60 bucks for them though.. I also just purchased a pair of the Vibram Bikila ls for $60 on sale and that is a great deal as well for those, can def tell the difference in quality. What I do like about the Fila skele-toes is that the 4th and 5th pinky toe are combined in one toe sleeve, while the other toes have their own. THe reason being is that my pinky toe over time from probably wearing cleats all the time playing sports and also tennis shoes, it curls inward towards my 4th toe and it just fits better in this Fila shoe. It def takes some practice working your toes into the correct toe sleeves. These are obviously not as good as a Vibram five finger shoe and the quality won't be either, you get what you pay for. Honestly, I would say unless you can get these for like $28-30 like I did, I would just go ahead and get a good pair of Vibrams. Check out the site I got them from, there are other shoes to choose from also, but they have a good sale going for them right now.
