It is better than my original Northgate Omnikey Ultra keyboard, and I did not believe that to be possible. (My Avant Stellar was not even close—its keys are clunky and have a tendency to get stuck on the way to bottoming out.)

I decided to buy the Camo Filco Majestouch-2, Tenkeyless, NKR, Click Action, USA Keyboard FKBN87MC/EMU2 because I was having radiating thoracic pain from using my mouse on the right side of my Avant Stellar keyboard.

Within 1 hour of replacing my Avant Stellar keyboard with the Filco, my thoracic pain was nearly gone, and by the following day, it had vanished. Getting rid of the number keypad and moving the mouse just four inches closer does make a difference.

I had been reluctant to buy the Filco because of its price and some of the negative comments in the reviews. I already have a Das Keyboard (which I stopped using after about a year because it started missing some of my key presses.) Had the Das Keyboard been available in the tenkeyless version, I would have purchased it.

Since the Omnikey, of all the keyboards I have used in the past 20 years, the Das Keyboard has been my favorite, but when it failed, I returned to the Avant Stellar. (I have several of the Dell cheapos that come with new computers; several Logitech and Microsoft keyboards, the Unicomp Classic 101 Buckling Spring, the Avant Stellar, and the Das Keyboard.)

Because the Das Keyboard is not available in the tenkeyless version, I went with the Filco. Because both this Filco and my Das Keyboard use the Cherry MX blue key switches, I expected the Filco to provide the same typing experience as the Das Keyboard. To my surprise the Filco puts the Das Keyboard to shame. The Filco keys are more stable, and the key presses are much more responsive.

I really love this keyboard, after using it for over a year and in con-junction with their leather wrist-pad its definitely the best keyboard I have ever owned and used. I switched over after using a long line of Logitech gaming keyboards and wasn't let down.

Pros:
-Its camo!
-Solid construction, and heavy which indicates a really well-made keyboard
-Cleans easily
-Included keypuller works great, just twist it a little to the side when pulling keycaps and they come right off.
-Comes in ten-key and ten-keyless varieties

Cons:
-From time to time, I have to remove it and plug it back in..... I'm thinking its due to the USB male end plug not fitting exactly "tight"
-I bought the same model as this but with black switches for work as it makes less audible "clicks", it dies within 3 weeks of using it!!!! OUTRAGED for such a price, and I haven't heard back from RMA yet after several months. WTF

I chose this Keyboard over the tenKey because I have a smaller desk and a preference towards the 'less is more' ideology. Love the Camo print, although any of the color choices would have been fine. The mechanical keys are loud, but are so much fun! The cord is OD green and a fair length. I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this Keyboard and hope it will last me years!

I write for a living, and loved using this keyboard. But 10 months after getting it, my computer stopped recognizing it. It recognizes other keyboards, so the computer is not the problem. They keyboard has a one-year warranty, but I just found out I have to pay to mail it to the UK to have it fixed. So if you live in the US, you are pretty much stuck with no warranty.

Since returning it is not an option (Try and see!) you just have to eat the cost. In my case the wires in the USB cable broke up near the keyboard and it went dead. That cable just plugs into the board inside but try to get a new one from the maker. No way!! So here sits my newish keyboard and am I pissed off. Thanks for nothing.
