This is the 87 key version of Majestouch-2 (the Majestouch without the number pad). With this compact keyboard, you can save space while having the same layout, and the same tactile feel as the existing Majestouch series. You can customize your saved space by placing the 'Ten Key Keypad' on your left side or right side, when you feel the need.N-key Rollover allows multiple simultaneous key presses to be recognized by your computer. True N-key Rollover works only with the included PS/2 adapter. Using the USB connection will limit the N-key Rollover function to 6 keys at a time. The rigid case construction gives a sure and comfortable typing experience with a specially designed font, for better visibility and a stylish and long lasting appearance. The Cherry MX 'blue' key switch, gives a tactile feel with an audible click, it has a long key stroke of 4mm with the actuation point (key press) at 2mm. Easy, fast and stress-free typing, the famous features of Cherry MX tactile feel. Switches tested to 50 million actuations. Yellow LED's. Gold colored Logo, Yellow Keycaps with Black Legends.

Better than Expected

This is an amazing keyboard, and you won't be disappointed. Note that when they say "Click Action," they mean it. Every key press is loud and authoritative; you'll never be wondering if you really pressed a key. The yellow on black is really sleek. Despite Amazon photos, the black of the case really is black and not some awful dark gray.

Note that while the keys feel good to press, they are a little stiffer than you might be used to. That, and it'll sound like you're using a mechanical typewriter. While the action is stiff, it's also solid and predictable. Every key press feels smooth and linear, and exactly the same as every other key press. Compared to other compact keyboards, like the Happy Hacking, this Filco is light-years ahead.

You probably won't miss the numberpad, given a few days without it. This was not my first keyboard without one, and I have a long history of using laptops, so numberpads get in my way more than they help me. Being able to put your keyboard that extra four inches or so closer to the mouse can be a big deal, and it's suddenly easier to slam out home/end/pgup/pgdn without having to worry about where the numberpad is.

This keyboard is very heavy, which makes it great for desk use, but maybe less than desirable for something you travel with in a backpack.

Great keyboard, worth every penny. Consider the 'tactile' version if you don't want something noisy.

- Nice non-mushie mechanical Cherry keyswitches
- Not the typical black keyboard
- Key caps are Cherry standard stems and are swappable if you want to change caps later. See auction sites, WASD, GeekHack, Deskthority ... .

Pro or Con depending
- This particular board has Cherry Blue switches and thus it makes a click sound with each keystroke. That was a plus for me. If its a negative for you there will be ones with Cherry Black and Cherry Red switches if you are into gaming. Cherry Brown switches are generally community thought the best combo [currently but the preference seem to be cyclical] for general computing.
- You can all select the other switch types to get keys that are easier to press. I really like this boards Cherry Blues though.

There really is no better keyboard

I have four filcos, the camo blue click, the ninja black tactile, the no longer released blank key tenkeyless click, and this one. ( I desperately wanted the pink click version but it's impossible to find ).

I really can't say enough good things about this keyboard. If you use keyboards alot, it will change your life.

The "Linear Action" - Is at the far left, the keys take a lot of pressure to push down. It is the quietest of the three.
The "Tactile Action" - Is in the middle, decent pressure, quiet enough to take to an office, a good middle ground.
The "Click Action" - Is the far right, extremely easy to press keys, but extremely loud. It is _so_ satisfying though, you must at least try one.
