Now for the Cherry MX Red switches. I have tried the tactile (brown mx), linear (black mx), and clicky (blue mx) versions of this keyboard. For typing the red are the best. The blue are too noisy. The brown feel like the switches are broken. They browns have a slight bump and just don't feel right to me. The blacks are nice, but your fingers will get worn out after typing for a while. Blacks are probably best for pure gaming. The only suggestion is to have thicker keycaps and use cherry mx black switches for the larger keys (space bar, enter, backspace, and shift keys). There is just a very, small amount of noise when typing. Thicker keycaps would dampen the minimal noise and feel better. The cherry mx black switches for the larger keys would also feel better and reduce the chances of bottoming out when typing.
