Yesterday, I received the replacement copy in the mail and it looks great. It certainly was worth the wait as the cover text and photos are crisp and clear. The inside text and photos were not previously affected... however they, too, are sharp and easy to read. This book takes a daunting subject and makes it very easy to understand for all levels of experience. The illustrative photos combined with expert advice leave little-to-no room for confusion on the part of the reader.
In my opinion, Mr. Karl employs a very conversational, down-to-earth writing style that makes this an easy and fun read instead of a doctoral thesis. This book makes great gift for anyone who loves the great outdoors from the veteran fisherman to the newbie who would like to give it a try... and anyone in between.
no bones. Also, having dined with author and enjoyed one of his Northern fillet receipes, I can attest that the end result of following the books suggestions will convert you to a believer. I had always tossed the Northerns back, until I met Rich Karl, and learned from the PRO, how to correctly fillet and prepare them.
