S.E Hall and Angela Graham is some of my favourite authors. Both excellent authors on their own as well.
I loved the main characters and enjoyed it very much that the story was a breath of fresh air. Not waitresses, rich office workers etc. It was refreshing.
Cant wait to read more of their books.
What happens when your older brother leaves to be a foreign exchange student? But not only that, but who trades places with him, is a sexy foreigner. Only issue, you’re off limits, still in high school, and have to share a bathroom with him.
This is Echo’s life once Kingston moves in with her family.
Echo is a wallflower, unless she’s performing.
I like how she started to come out of her shell some, due to Kingston.
Kingston comes across as a player. But, I’m wondering if that was all an act, or not. He’s a great guy when it comes to Echo.
Now I do have some questions about the whole Savannah and Clay situation and the party at the end. Hopefully we find out in the next book!
I can't believe how this story about two young adults can be so captivating. The moment I opened my kindle to start reading this book until the moment I finished I just couldn't believe how much I enjoyed this story.
It was so different and refreshing. For once a young girl who develops feelings for the foreign exchange students staying at her house while her brother Sebastian is staying at Kingston's house out in the U.K. She has self-respect for herself and doesn't give in like most girls do when a boy lays the charms on them. Not this girl!
Echo likes to be a loner and has a very few handful of friends. She doesn't like the attention or spotlight and she's a very smart girl. She is driven to be the best and is striving in school, taking AP classes at the college where Kingston goes to. Both her father and her older brother have always been overprotective with her so guys never try hitting on her, until they all find out that her brother has left to college and would not be a barrier anymore. But Echo doesn't fall that easily and she doesn't pay much attention to the guys who flirt with her.
What she finds herself liking is the fact that her and Kingston strike up a friendship even though they both start developing feelings for each other but they both know they can't act on their feelings. Kingston knows he'll get kicked out of the house if he so much as tries anything with Echo and Echo wouldn't want to get Kingston kicked out and lose out on his college experience in the U.S.
But little do we know that secrets are unveiled and people end up getting hurt in the process, and the people that get hurt aren't even at fault but no one can clarify this because then it will make certain people really upset and who knows what could happen if he or they find out so apparently the innocent end up paying the price.
I totally loved Kingston and his charming self. He had a way with the ladies but the only one he cared about was Echo and he was always there for her no matter what.
The ending really broke my heart but it gave me hopes when I saw that a 2nd part is coming out later this year. I am so looking forward to reading more about Echo and Kingston.
I totally would recommend this book because it's easy, fun, charming and totally worth your time ;)
5 stars for this filthy foreign exchange student
A very seductive dance and I’m surprised for the beauty of these two young characters, I have to be honest, I try always to avoid books about stories in post-adolescent, is a reality that is no longer mine, I’m a bit like a fish out of water, but this is the classic exception to the rule.
Kingston is an English boy who is forced by his father, as punishment for his rebellious behavior, to participate in an exchange program between students with Sebastian, Echo’s older brother. Needless to say he is gorgeus, rich and charming, a real magnet for the female population, but he’s so much more.
Echo is seventeen, she is an introverted girl, a bit different from the others , she loves peace, not being the center of attention and she is a true artist in performing Aerism, a tradition passed down in her family.
It may seem like the same old story that is often retold: the debauched boy who falls in love with the beautiful innocent little girl.
Kingston is not so debauched, yes everyone wants him, and he obliges, but I found him irresistible, too! Apart from his spectacular body, what fascinated me were his manners so charming and very british, mixed with a healthy dose of humour and how he played with Echo, using his sensuality but always remaining within surprisingly chivalry. I am so in love with his way of talking, laughing, joking with Echo and always be there next to her, seeking her company because I understand between the lines that he fells peaceful and happy with her.
Echo is young, innocent, unable to lie to anyone, but this should not make us think of her as a naïve girl or insignificant. She is wonderful. The book is written through her point of view and she’s so fun, full of humour and sarcasm, proud and intelligent, and I never thought of her as the sacrificial victim of the handsome ladies’ man.
She’s aware of kingston’s appeal, but she is lucky enough to be able to build a real relationship with him, without stopping at his good looks, their bond is based with complicity that goes beyond simple friendship. They search each other in so many ways, secret messages in the bathroom they share, improbable rankings about Kingston’s girls, an endless list because they throw themselves at his feet , but the real constant in Kingston’s life is Echo.
Like I said he is really so much stuff, and not just physically, but what surprised me more than anything was I could “see” the beauty of Echo through his eyes.
The chemistry between the two of them is extraordinary, a sensuality and a tension that exists between the two of them that is able to “catch” whoever is reading the story, although I must say that then everything stays very chaste, for now.
And here comes the knot a bit sore for me, this “for now” because the story between Echo and Kingston has a cliffhanger, but I had so much fun with them, which honestly I would not make too many criticisms.
There are several secondary characters in this story, and I just loved Echo’s father. He’ss a man definitely overprotective of his family and Echo, complete with evening curfews, strict rules and absolute control of what happens under his roof, but everything is dictated by love and concern and with his consistency and rigidity also earns the respect of Kingston.
“Filthy Foreign Exchange” is an excellent book, suitable for a wide audience of readers, and I am convinced that Echo and Kingston will have a fair success, because they deserve it.
P.s. don’t overthink too much about the voteon sensuality, it was difficult for me to choose, Kingston is very hot in this book, however, due the guy has a considerable self-restraint, I hope in the future is going to loose it …
