The heroine Cammy is one tough chic yet she's incredibly feminine and loyal to those she loves.
Oh boy will you fall hard for Jake Wild. He's a man's man in the best way. The added atmosphere of adorable exotic animals had me smiling and swooning with happiness.
Such sexy yet absolutely hysterical scenes. I flipped through the pages like my kids at a pizza buffet count their slices.
Ms. Florence you are rocketing up the list of my favorite feel good authors. Can't wait for more.

I loved that they're both very alpha characters. They both are willing to fight for what they want, and I love that they didn't fight falling in love.
The story was so awesome! Like 'The Final KO', I was drawn in from the start. Maybe more so because I was really excited to read Cammy's story. It had he perfect amount of drama, but for the most part was hilarious and hot!!
I actually think one of the things I love most about the books I've read by Jessica, is that her female characters have strong personalities. I love that they aren't perceived as being weak, not that all romance heroines seem that way, but her heroines seem especially strong.
Cammy is (from the first book) Rayne's best friend. She wanted what Arson and Rayne had but she just couldn't find a guy that fit the bill. Until one day at an animal rescue a wallaby attacked her out of nowhere, and there he is a super hunky owner of the animal rescue, Jake. Too bad her world of manis and pedis and his world of dirt and sweat just don't mix. But a bet involving painting of toe nails makes their worlds collide even if it's only for a week...
Jake recently decided to open and run a animal rescue. His hearts passion. Until he lays eyes on this spit fire red headed woman who has a dramatic flare to her. He will make her love him. She will be his mate...
I loved this story. I think once again the author did a magnificent job of building this family of friends that you felt a part of. I lived on that animal rescue and loved every minute of it. I could imagine all the animals and I especially loved Casey. The part involving Casey brought tears to my eyes and hurt my soul!
I think this story did mimick the first story a bit but I didn't feel as though Jake tried nearly as hard as Arson did. I love these guys. <3.
**I received this as a review copy from the author and in return I gave my honest review**
Those who could not get enough of Rayne and Arson will appreciate catching up with them too.
I did find several similarities between the storylines but not enough to annoy me.
I see this as a series appealing to a different generation, ones who grew up with more graphic disclosure and grittier dialogue. The story beneath is a good one but some gets lost by the words trying to come across as tougher and street smart. Some of the jokes are more immature than subtle. That said, this story is a lot funnier than the previous book. There is still a lot of steam.
This series is original and I don't have anything to compare it to.
I was given both books in this series for review purposes. I am curious what will happen next.
I see the author improving with each book.
Cammy, in my opinion seems a bit high maintenance. She's sometimes a bit snarky, flirty, and for some reason being attacked by small animals. LOL. Canny is also very very funny, we could be friends. “There’s a chick here who keeps asking about you. She’s being all shady.” My feet swiftly moved over to where she was and peeked out to her spot. I wanted to laugh at what I saw. Marlene Debarue. That little skank."
The only time I don't find Cammy amusing is during "the big misunderstanding separation", luckily she snaps out of it!!!
Jake is a self proclaimed alpha male and looking to hunt down the right alpha female. There were so many animal references I thought for sure this was a shifter book! (It's not.)
"I felt like a vampire seeing the sun. I wanted to hide underneath the covers and nurse this ugly feeling in my body." The book is very witty and campy, with many animal, paranormal and pop cultural references. Something for everyone. At times, I will admit if felt like a campy carnival and like I had overindulged on sweets and rides. But, you know, that's part of the fun of a carnival experience. Fun Book.
