Kennedy is tired of waiting for fate to finally bring her true love to her. Living in a small town with an over protective older brother who basically raised her and chased off all the boys growing up gets old! But now she finally has William and she's going to go spend a week with his family to get to know his parents. But if fate has finally brought her the one for her, why can't she stop thinking about Bryce?
Because Kennedy is his best friend and now boss's little sister, Bryce has hidden his feelings for her for too many years. He's tried to stay away from her, but he can't do it any longer. Unfortunately once he decides to come clean she's now with "perfect William" from college. Will Bryce figure out a way to get over the love he has for Kennedy, or will fate intervene so he can have the love he's waited forever for?
Will fate finally allow these two to be together or are they meant to go their separate ways? You'll have to read FINALLY FATE to find out, oh but it's worth your time! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via the author and Tasty Book Tours in exchange for an honest blog tour review.
Favorite Passage ~
~ “You can’t force fate to do anything, sweetheart. You just have to go about your own life, make every moment what you want it to be. Then, love will happen when the time is right.” Granny pulls me to her for a hug. “Maybe there’s someone here right now who likes you, and you just don’t know it.”
Kennedy has been raised by her brother who is overprotective and sheltered her. Kennedy has had a thing for her brother’s friend, Bryce for a long time and he her. But, Bryce won’t pursue anything because she’s his friend’s little sister. Except they kiss and he takes off…for a YEAR! When he returns, Kennedy is with someone else. Bryce just sits back and yearns for Kennedy. Kennedy’s boyfriend, William, is kind of a douche, but honestly, his relationship with Kennedy wasn’t awful. More like status quo.
Here’s the thing. I wanted to reach into the book, wrap my hands around Bryce’s shoulders and shake him while screaming, “Man up, dude!” He just sat around pining for Kennedy all that time and didn’t even fight for her. Then he finally did man up and boom, they love each other (which I can get behind, because clearly they had a thing for each other all this time) and William is long forgotten.
A little quick on the resolution and not quite enough dramatic build up where what kept me from rating this higher. Otherwise, an overall good story with great writing and good character development. It kept me turning the pages until the very end.
I loved this book, heck I love this series... so much! I'm so glad Kennedy got her story... and I couldn't be happier with the outcome!
She is courageous, smart, beautiful, loving and so deserving of a happily ever after (that her big brother will approve of, of course) :)
Bryce is a loyal friend to the point that it overshadows his own happiness... I was cheering these two on throughout the book!
I loved catching up with everyone at Minnie's, at Mayfair and at the bingo hall... I've loved reading about all of these characters and following along with their lives. Thanks Tamra, for writing such an awesome series of books that let us all believe in happily ever after! Xo
Oh, and a ps to Hunter & Kate... Congratulations on the arrival of baby Hazel xo
