Because of all the dishonest stockbrokers that seem to be working today, Mr. Levine has, besides writing this excellent book, a website ([...] ) where he gives the owner of stocks, etc., advice and monitoring tools which let you know how your stocks are doing and if they have been tampered with behind your back by those dishonest stockbrokers......
that big players in the financial industry used to manipulate the system in order to crank out a buck without
regard to the people it was servicing for decades. The beginning reads like a documentary; pinpointing in factual details
as to the corruption that went on for well over twenty years and was impossible to stop or fix even to David Levine's
own admission for many years to come.
If you enjoy juicy reading about big time scandal, deception, and lies unveiled in prominent financial /insurance companies
you're in for an incredible read.
the regulatory system is rigged and the checks and balances we were brought up to believe in don’t work to protect us. As an unsophisticated investor, I particularly appreciate the tips he offers on choosing an honest broker or financial planner and avoiding unwise investments
This is a good read for anyone who is now and investor or is considering to invest their hard earned income. It is important to know that the industry was setup, like the banking and insurance industries, to make money for themselves first. The SEC and FINRA are part of this industry, lead by well paid executives who come from this industry. Again, they have their own interests at stake when they look at regulations and rules.
I don't believe David is saying to not invest or stay out of this system but, to do so armed with knowledge to protect your assets and yourself from harm. You should do your own investigation before you had over control to a broker to learn everything you can about them. Then you must also look at what they are offering you as investments before you move your money.
This is a long book with lots of details. I believe that David truly wanted to have his say on the whole matter that he found himself in but it is good information. That is why I gave it 5 stars.
I think that David spent a great deal of time and effort in bringing to us the information we all need to know, whether we are investors, brokers, managers, or owners of any type of company. David has gone further in being very detailed in providing more information in how to protect ourselves from those who are out to do harm.
I fully recommend that you read this book and become informed as I have in gaining knowledge in the financial arena.
