In his newest book FIND HAPPINESS NOW author Jonathan Robinson shares what he calls the "Greatest Hits of Happiness Ideas" with readers, and allow us to use the book to start wherever we are in finding what truly brings us happiness today.
Because of his own personal journey Robinson is more than aware that people are unhappy for various reasons. What he tries to do in the book is help us to use the book as a guide to address whatever our own issues might be, and start at that point in making life better one day at a time. The entire book is a wealth of information, but you don't have to read the whole thing at first. Look at the segments discussed and choose what is the right place for you to start. For more the sections LOVING YOURSELF and LIVING YOUR DREAMS spoke the loudest to me, but after reading those two I went back to the beginning to see what I might be able to benefit from in the other segments.
The big takeaway for me in FIND HAPPINESS NOW is the importance of not defining happiness by what we have and instead focus on who we are, what really brings us peace. This means that we don't allow the many external forces to dictate what happiness looks like for you. The right foundation is to find out what is truly meaningful for you and go for it.
Even if the voice in your head is harping on what you can do, make the decision to change the channel to something that encourages you instead of discourages you. It can be done, and thanks to resources like Jonathan Robinson's FIND HAPPINESS NOW we are able to do it.
