I've seen other books of this sort that have what I consider hokey ideas, dreamed up just to sell the book. These ideas were sophisticated, for the most part, showing thrift shop finds re-purposed tastefully and used in friends' homes. The captions explained the photos, which items were bought new or already special to the buyer (like a family treasure) and then how a thrift shop find, re-purposed or not, fit into the setting.
