Finding the Balance in World Missions deals with highly relevant contemporary missions issues we are faced with in the Church. Although small in size, its content addresses many of the problems facing the modern Church. Rev. Ray's intelligent, well researched and informed approach ensures that the search for understanding the biblical approach to missions fully engages our minds as well as our hearts. An academic and spiritually inspired book, which will benefit the evangelist, missionary, pastor and the layperson for decades to come.
-- --Pastor John Madhan Mohan, Nanjangud, India
The whole content of this book is from the Lord. It produces an openness of mind in the Spirit, by the Spirit of the Word, what in Greek it s called Metanoia. The Lord through this book destroys myths and tales in evangelism, and presents a biblical and spiritual truths... I loved it. This book was born in the heart of God and it will impact many in the world who have a vision for the salvation of the Lord, and to disciple the nations for the King Jashua Ha' Mashiaj! This book really blessed me.

Thank you to the author for carefully taking the time to compile this practically useful insight!
Lastly, I should add that I read the Spanish version, where the translator made an amazing job. It was easy to follow and the choice of words was right on the spot (considering many words have different meanings in Latin American culture).
Quote: His sovereign will is being accomplished in the world whether or not His creation accepts Him as Lord.
I found it incredibly important to note, that without the full context of biblical knowledge only found in scripture, you will become hard-pressed in seeing true results. You cannot have acts of kindness, humanitarianism, without or apart from the gospel of Jesus Christ, and you cannot rely upon the relationship or "contagious Christianity" simply because someone relates to you or vice versa.
The book denotes that the Holy Spirit is leading to effective evangelism, and quotes Johannes Blauw in his book, "Missionary Nature of the Church", about the dependence on the Holy Spirit as the guide in evangelism (chapter 15), and also Prayer is Essential in Evangelism as well. Quoting; Attempts to be fruitful in evangelism or any other function in the Church with minimal prayer will yield limited fruit. Without prayer, God's people often lack the transformed hearts filled with compassion and the conviction, both essential to be effective.
I find no fault with anything within these pages. It is in-depth and scripture based. As long as it is scriptural then it bears authority. I would highly recommend anyone interested in effective evangelism to read this book. It is a manual with tremendous insight and guidelines that we should follow in not simply foreign missions but stateside evangelism as well.
This is a must read for all believers, as we all have the Christ-ordered obligation to reach out to those around us and invite them into God's community.
