Author Alexis Anicque brings us an adventurous story of a daughter named "Famous". The name itself creates the curiosity of reading the book and find the reason behind it. Her mother passed away and left some journals, clues to explore a journey which she had experienced 25 years ago. The story consists of lots of suspense, drama and some life-learning lesson. There is a great fictional connection between two worlds I,e present world and the fictional world with good and bad witches. The author had very patiently described each and every plot which has made the imagination more sounding. Angelica, the cursed lady was the biggest twist in the entire story. Looking forward to getting more stories from this author. Wonderful !!

I loved this book. It features so many semi sets of some of the fairy tales I grew up with.

It is a wonderful story of a daughter following in her deceased mother's footsteps and become a a voyage of discovery. It had some surprises and some wonderful emories.

I recommend this book highly. I think you will really enjoy reading it. I am looking forward to more from this author

What a story. This one’s an 8 out of 10. I’m also reading the Bestseller We Need to Talk About Kevin, a completely different genre, but this knocks that into a cocked hat. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. We are led on a magical quest with our leading lady, Famous. Famous for what? We like her, she’s kind and pleasant, and one of those nice people that the world needs more of. We are taken with her, following in her deceased mother’s footsteps from America, to Ireland and beyond. The characters she meets along the way help her on her journey as she finds herself and discovers who she is. The pace is fabulous, the description great, and the dialogue fluid and believable. We lose a couple of points because the MS could do with another edit to tighten it, but the odd error and clumsy sentence doesn’t detract in any way from the story. I loved it and will be looking out for future books by this talented lady. Highly recommended.

Famous's journey of self discovery is an interesting combination of fairy-tale magic; bildungsroman and a dose of the 'real' world - in the shape of internet, mobile phones, planes and ocean liners. At first I thought that Famous would be safe and protected no matter where she went... but not everyone is as they seem and monsters come in disguise. Fortunately Famous has her own inner resources. I shall say no more for fear of spoilers. Yes, there are minor editing issues, but I value story over picky details.
