I felt a definite disconnect from the characters. Maybe because the author does a lot of telling instead of showing? I’m not quite sure. Either way, since it made for such a boring read I skimmed bunches at a time. And didn’t miss a thing.
Author: can you explain how the guy can lift her legs over his shoulders when his hands are busy elsewhere?
There’s a lot of head shaking errors. Ex: Since when is 11:00 afternoon? Noon is 12:00, and last I checked 11 came before 12, which makes that blazingly impossible.
She can get upset with him about pda with others, but he can’t? His, while it still shouldn’t have happened, was innocent. If she had seen the reason for it she wouldn’t have been upset. Hers, though, was a frequent thing with a “girlfriend” boy - that wasn’t gay. Foot rubbing, laying on each other, etc. things that wouldn’t have appeared innocent if observed. Add to her talking her problems out with with the male friend instead of the boyfriend and she looks much more guilty than he does.
And I swear to high heaven that I don’t understand why authors have the guys refer to the girls’ intimate body parts as pretty. They might as well pat them on the head and tell them to run on home because it is just not sexy. It just makes me want to say ew.
All in all it’s not a horrendous story, but it does need large amounts of work so I can’t give it a neutral three stars.
This book was great. I loved every part of it, and the dual perspectives was just as awesome. You have a sweet love story about two people who weren't looking for it but found it anyways and coming to terms with how they really felt.
The writing was well done and the characters literally jumped from the pages as I read them, I could see them in my mind vividly.
I have read this book over several times now since I first received and I never get tired of reading it. The people who you want to hate-you do, and maybe hate isn't a strong enough word. But everything worked out in the end.
I can't wait to read Aly and Bentley's story next. Becca is a fantastic author and I will be looking out for her books in the future.
This was a great beginning to this series and I cant wait to read the next book in the series.

The hook up between Kat and Caleb was great. And then how they both wished it was more than a one night stand, but with no means of contact, fate smiled on them and took a hand!
I loved Kat and Caleb and thought they worked well together all through the story. The secondary characters were very enjoyable too.
All round good read.
Kat was in a relationship where her ex did nothing but put her down and when he leaves she decides that she wants the old her back, first on her list is to have a one-night stand. While out with friends she meets Caleb and nearly orgasms from the sight of him. Caleb makes sure that Kat knows that it’s only one night and they don’t have any regrets in the morning.
What both Caleb and Kat weren’t expecting was the feeling they had for each other after that one night. When they see each other again they can’t fight the attraction and end up giving Caleb’s friends a show of how hot their chemistry is.
The two have an amazing journey working through Kat’s past issues and a crazy ex, with both having to come to the realisation that although they both don’t want a relationship, they can’t deny what they feel for each other.
The passion between Kat and Caleb had me pushing to read more and along with Kat and Caleb found me wanting more from Bents and Aly and every member I was introduced to.
