Sea it like never before! For the first time ever, through the magic of Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D, fully immerse yourself in the stunning underwater world of Disney/Pixar's FINDING NEMO! From the creators of TOY STORY and MONSTERS, INC., this critically acclaimed and heartwarming tale splashes off the screen with brilliant digital picture, high definition sound and breathtaking bonus features that transport you beyond your imagination. In the depths of the Great Barrier Reef, Marlin (Albert Brooks), an overly protective clownfish, embarks on a daring rescue mission when his beloved son, Nemo, gets scooped up by a diver. With his unforgettable friend Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) by his side, Marlin encounters an ocean full of memorable comedic characters on his momentous journey -- to find Nemo. Bring home the humor and heartfelt emotion of the epic adventure that captured the Academy Award for "Best Animated Feature Film" (2003) -- now more awesome than ever on Disney Blu-ray!
If there's any environment that demands 3-D treatment, it's the ocean. Pixar has lovingly translated its 2003 megahit Finding Nemo into 3-D. The result is a lush, inviting undersea world that makes this wonderful tale of loss, parental love, and thrilling adventure even more engaging. The company has wisely not altered the story at all: when a young clownfish named Nemo is captured by scuba divers, his neurotic father Marlin (voiced by neurotic comedian Albert Brooks) sets off to the rescue, aided by a blue tang fish named Dory (brilliantly voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) with a short-term memory loss problem. What follows are ingeniously orchestrated action sequences featuring sharks, jellyfish, a ghastly translucent deepwater fish, pelicans and seagulls, sea turtles, and even an elaborate escape from an aquarium in an Australian dentist's office--all enhanced (but not overdone) by being made 3-D. Through it all runs a deep current of emotion that has made Finding Nemo one of Pixar's most successful features. This 3-D release will only add to its appeal; Marlin and Dory's odyssey through the watery depths is made even more immersive by this marriage of subtle artistry and technical skill. --Bret Fetzer

Well when it came out on blu-ray (and 3D!) I didn’t hesitate to pick it up for my own young one. It’s aged extremely well, and actually looks really great in hi-def. It has, as expected, become one of my kid’s favorite animated movies. It looks pretty cool in 3D too, in case you’re considering replacing an older copy for an updated one.
Finding nemo always looked great in the theatres and on Blu-ray. But when they decided to remaster this movie into 3D, I just had to buy it. So far I own every 3D Blu-ray Pixar movies, including Monsters Inc, Monster's University,Up, Cars, Cars 2, Brave, and Toy Story 1-3. But Finding Nemo 3D looks absolutely the most amazing and gorgeous. All the scenes underwater which is like 99% of the movie is just breath taking. The coral, the water particles, all the fish, the background/backdrop looks so realistic. The detail down to the last spec/pixel is just so clear, if you don't make yourself aware that this is a CG movie, you will mistake it for real life. Even if you are aware, it looks aesthetically beautiful that you don't even care.
Keep in mind that I'm assuming you have a top quality 3D HDTV, I have a Samsung 60 inch 3D HDTV, so my 3D movies looks incredible.
Bonus features are great, comes with 5 discs and even digital copy which is a huge plus. This ultimate collector's edition is not cheap, but it is worth every penny.
In summary, if you have 3D, and liked NEMO, you will absolutely love this for yourself or to give as a gift. If you have any trouble with colored bands of noise, check the firmware versions of your DVD player and TV, and update if they are not the latest. (Updating is easy, at least on some models such as Samsung: either online, download and USB, or even by DVD.
