I really enjoyed reading this book and am so glad this is where my book surfing brought me to.
This is a book that is about life and seeing the changes in people. I will be reading book # 2 come Wednesday.
Such a great story, Judith, children these days need a strong, guiding hand. Very excited about this series, waiting patiently for the next book.
(Breakfast at the Beach Hotel, series, is another good read of Ms. Keim's) js
The three Sullivan girls were gathered together to hear the will of Gavin Sullivan. They weren’t sure even who he was. Only Sheena, the oldest at thirty-six, realized he must be their uncle “Big G Sullivan”. Their father had never spoken kindly about his brother and the girls had no idea why. Only Sheena even remembered him. Darcy was now twenty-six and Regan only twenty-two so several years separated each of them. The three had gone their separate ways and settled in different places. Sheena was married with teenage children in nearby Somerville; Darcy worked in IT in Boston, and Regan was in New York City. Today they were getting the surprise of their lives. Uncle Gavin had given them a hotel on the beach in Florida. They had a year to run the hotel before it could be sold. The will stipulated the three of them had to live there together for the entire time if they were to have a share in his estate. If they didn’t, it would be given to someone else. Why in the world would he do that to them? He gave them money for the expenses of the hotel and their getting there. Could they leave their lives for a year and take on this task? Could Sheena leave her family behind for a year? Would they do this for their sisters?
The book has intrigue, laughter, tension, and every other emotion in between. Set in a little hotel on a beautiful beach in Florida makes the book even better. As it is the start of a series, I am anxious to get started on the second book.
