I love all of the secondary characters, especially Olivia. I loved the written scene of where Renay and Olga was talking to Olivia. What a beautiful way to describe what it means to be gay and that it’s ok to be so. We all need guidance in our lives whether it’s mentors, our parents, friends, other people who understand and know what it’s like to be in those shoes. It is hard to come out at any age; maybe easier to strangers because chances are we may never see them again compared to our loved ones.
I look forward to reading more books from Ms. Mettner. Happy Thanksgiving!
I gave 4 stars only because I wanted a "love" story like Katie's other books. I ADORE Katie's romances. I fall in love with the characters every time. This time I didn't. Not sure why. I think the focus shifted from the falling in love for me. When I finished this book I felt like I missed something. I normally end her romances having fallen in love right along with the characters.
Still a book worthy of reading! Katie, can't wait for more.....
I think the saying is "It's not the destination, but the journey that is important" or words to that effect. Katie Mettner took me on a journey as not only did Renay find Susan, but then she had to fight to nurture that love into a beautiful flower.
Finding Susan is one of those books that will touch your heart as well.
