This book is not a general manual on how to work with a radial arm saw. Nor is it a fancy list of all the gadgets you can attach to a RAS with a compilation of fifty of your "favorite" projects in the appendix. It is simply a very detailed look at how to get the notoriously sloppy radial arm saw to work dead square and to a cutting tolerance of one 128th of an inch with a simple saw blade. It covers the line-up procedures and tricks that the manufacturers don't include in their owners' manuals and that the flashy text books side step for fear of boring you. An easy to read and easier to use practical "how to" on getting your RAS to function with perfection. The is a must have book for any serious RAS owner!

Excellent book written for multiple brands, well balanced between the "why" each step, where in the process it is and the on the three major brands. The skills and process you learn from this book could be transferred to other pieces of equipment. A must have for all radial am saw owners

Great book. Lots of essential info. This book talks mostly about how to accurately set up the saw to allow very accurate joinery. It does not say much about actually using the saw.

My radial arm saw can do almost any wood job (no, not turning), but for most it must be properly set up for accurate and precise cuts, milling, routing, etc. Many books tell how to do the jobs; this is the only one I've found that tells you how to calibrate and secure your saw to do those jobs. I'd have liked more diagrams and photos, but I can read and so it's all available there and well explained. One of the best buys I've made. The seller packaged it carefully like the fine tool it is. Couldn't be happier.....:-)

Incredibly good book. Has great information about compensating for poor production quality control and standards in Radial Arm Saws. Combine this with the Mr. Sawdust book and you have all the info you need. If you do not have a Dewalt RAS, this book is more important than the Mr. Sawdust book due to illustrations and information about other manufactures products.

If you have a radial arm saw, you need this book. I don't say that lightly. It tells so much more than any manufacturer's guide about aligning the machine, including a very interesting and accurate way of doing it "by ear".

Can't be beat.
