Through the power of financial technology (otherwise known as fintech), doing well and doing good are no longer mutually exclusive. In fact, they are combining forces to exponentiate success across the board. Helping others is just as important of a metric as making money – and we can now achieve both at the same time.

These five fintechs will illustrate that you don’t have to choose between making a difference in your wallet or a difference in the world. You can dare to be different by picking both.

Reiling provides a glimpse into the workings of some creative ways entrepreneurs are using technology to address specific personal financial needs. As compelling as the products are the mindsets and stories of the founders who are driven to action to create positive change in peoples' lives, some of those are also spotlighted in the book. A quick, informative, and inspiring read.

I very much enjoyed reading about the different, unique ways that people in the financial industry are helping others. Thanks to David for pointing this out and highlighting the people and businesses that are truly making a difference when people need it the most. Very good read and I felt good when I was done!

As author David Reiling says, “We’re in the business of social change, we just happen to be bankers.” His new book Fintech4Good is a valuable handbook that reminds us how financial and technological transformation can leapfrog financial institutions in their ability to create positive social transformations and Do Good.

An easy and informative read that opened my eyes to the financial issues plaguing the world today, and how fintechs are dissolving them. Reiling manages to make very complex finance topics easy-to-understand, and he provided a great journalistic narrative along the way.

I loved to see how people, technology and hard work can solve problems for many. Also, terrific to see that that these companies value helping others as much as making a dollar. Thanks David for sharing some examples of real life companies making a difference!
