If you've never been to the actual site of the Mt St Helens eruption (which I think is a must for everyone to see in person) then this movie will give you a really good idea of what went on. Definitely worth watching.

This DVD came recommended from some survivors of Mt. St. Helens. It is well worth it. I was hoping for more news footage from 1980, but this is the best DVD out there on the volcano that I've yet to come across.

This documentary is full of interviews with survivor interviews as well as geologist and volcanologist and forest service interviews,re-enactments,and lots of actual eruption footage of the lateral blast and the continuous 10 hour eruption that followed. With modern day follow up on the mountain itself. Again the film maker (like others try to do) tries to corrupt it with his annoying personal religious overtones that have NOTHING to do with geology or volcanology. Other than that it's definitely worth the watch. I recommend it.
