About the Author

Maya DeLeina is a multi-published Erotic Vampire Romance Author. Born and raised on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, Maya could be seen at her favorite beach, Lanikai, performing with an all-girl band, working as editor in her high school's yearbook and volunteering her time at a humane society through UH of Manoa civic groups. In 2006, Maya relocated to Colorado. Her crystal blue oceans, waterfalls and eighty-degree year-round weather were traded for four seasons, enchanting forests and majestic mountains that led to her rekindled love for vampires. Not only does Maya have theatrical book trailers that bring her vampires to life, her vampires were featured in Jill Cohn's music video "Blessing Moon". www.mayadeleina.net

I am a fan of Maya DeLeina. I've read all of her books. I particularly like the Ambrose Heights series. Her last book, "Blood of Luna," had a Twilight Zone type ending but you were left with an understanding of what happened. This book?........my first thought at the end was "WTF??????" I'm not even sure if the ending is a cliffhanger. I would not call it a HEA ending either. I guess this book will have to churn around in my head for a while, but I think we are supposed to come to our own conclusions. Still....I will eagerly await DeLeina's next book and hope I won't feel quite so gobsmacked at the end.

I must start by saying I had really high hopes for this book I watched the YouTube trailer and that made me preorder the book, but I am a little disappointed. I had a problem with how Noel wanted to have sex with Greyson after knowing him for 5 minutes and how comfortable Noel was with Greyson a complete stranger who rescues her after her car accident. Not to mention the sex was bareback and Noel never asked about disease or a condom. I know this is fantasy but come on really? I felt the story was a little rushed, but it held my interest enough to keep me reading. I figured this was going to be the first book in a series therefore I was expecting a cliff hanger and boy it was a cliff hanger, one that made absolutely no sense and had me scratching my head. Most cliff hangers leave you wanting to know what is going to happen next and you hope the author doesn't take a year to release the next installment. But with this series if the next installment isn't released in the next month I will totally forget about it. I rated it 3 stars because it was just ok.

This book came to me highly recommended, which got me all excited because I thought I had maxed out on the nice and steamy vampire romances. I was left feeling a little cheated. Grayson's vampirism is touched on only superficially, and there were things that just didn't make sense, like why a vampire expecting to be alone in the middle of the forest would have food in the fridge. There's a disconnect between the first and second halves of the book that it takes a while to get over, and a lot of the sexual situations prompted a "well, that would never happen in real life" response. The ending of the book was so confusing that I'm still not sure what happened, and the story didn't hold me enough to read any sequels that might provide answers.

Fire and Ice: Seasons of the Vampire 1 is the gripping tale of Noel, a vibrant young woman, and Grayson, a sexy mysterious vampire that she encounters after a dangerous accident one winter.

Noel is on the quest for solitude one fateful Christmas holiday. She has a cabin reserved in the woods, where she plans to spend her time free from civilization. With snow falling in smothering sheets, she takes a perilous turn off the highway, where she plummets to what seems to be her end. A ray of hope arrives in the form of a mysterious man that rescues her from her car, and carries her off to safety.

In his cabin, Grayson cares for her and nurses her back to her usual vibrancy. Though mysterious, she finds him attractive in ways she has never experienced. It does not take long for sparks to fly. Noel is drawn to him within hours. With this, the readers finds that our protagonist is far from shy and reserved. She seeks to seduce him, bend him to her desires. Perhaps it is his vampiric allure. We cannot be sure of what attributes to this almost unnatural instant attraction.

If your scruples aren't disturbed by this, you will be captivated by their chemistry and subsequent erotic endeavors. Bear in mind that Fire and Ice is a paranormal romance with a heavy erotic undertone.

Noel and Grayson seem to be a compatible match, and yet their heart-warming romance comes to an abrupt end. They enjoy one another's body, and company, and yet their time ends when Grayson vanishes, leaving her well off with her car intact and bags packed.

This ends the story of Noel and Grayson. Or so it seems. She learns of his vampire nature, and misses him dearly, and hopes that they will meet once again.

I loved this book!!

Noel finds herself heading to the mountains for the Christmas holidays only to get caught in a severe snowstorm. Wrecking into the ravine and being rescued by the handsome Grayson is just the beginning of a hot mind blowing sex weekend. The attraction is instantaneous between the two but Grayson tries to hold back not wanting Noel to find out he is a vampire and run away. Finally giving in to this attraction sets life events in motion. The weekend ends and Noel is heartbroken that Grayson is gone.

Noel goes home never forgetting Grayson. Life continues and heartbreaks happen. Will Noel ever find happiness again? Where is Grayson? What does life have in store? Will they find each other again? All questions that will be answered in the book!!

Loved this ending and can't wait for the next book!

Congratulations on another great book!!
