The Fire, the Revelation and the Fall (Epic Order of the Seven Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars 163 ratings

The events of Acts leading to Revelation come to life as the Order of the Seven animal team surrounds the early believers who are spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth-against all odds.
Reunited with Dr Luke while on his third missionary journey, Paul uncovers a plot on his life yet boldly travels to Jerusalem, where he is arrested and imprisoned in Caesarea for two years. The animals work behind the scenes to make vital connections, uncover plots, and help with the formation of a New Testament. All the while, murder plots and power struggles abound in Rome with the rise of the infamous Emperor Nero. When Paul finally appeals to Caesar before Governor Festus, so begins a treacherous voyage to Rome.

After months at sea and a harrowing shipwreck on Malta, Paul arrives in Rome, awaiting his trail before Emperor Nero. Peter is finally arrested as well, and both he and Paul are sentenced to death, but not before they write several last letters to strengthen the church. Nero's excesses spell his doom, and a new era of emperors is ushered in with the powerful Flavian Dynasty. Domitian fans the flames of persecution against the church and exiles John to Patmos, but on that island of despair comes a revelation of hope to the last remaining disciple.

Weep over the fall of Jerusalem, and cheer the miraculous rise of the Church against the backdrop of murder, persecution and the majesty of imperial Rome.

Review

5 Star Review by Rabia Tanveer for Readers' FavoriteI really loved the description of Rome. You can almost smell the air, the dust, and taste the water. The descriptions are so dynamic and vivid that you can actually imagine the scenes with crystal clarity in your mind. Imperial Rome is so majestic and fascinating, it really showed the amount of research Jenny L. Cote did in order to achieve this level of perfection. It felt hyper-real and so consuming. I love a book that makes me forget where I am. This novel just makes you read, read and read. Kudos for the job well done!

The Amazing Tales of Max and Liz® is a two-book prequel series that begins the adventures of brave Scottie dog Max and brilliant French cat Liz. Book One: The Ark, the Reed, and the Fire Cloud introduces Max and Liz, who meet on the way to the Ark and foil a plot by a stowaway who is out to kill Noah and stop his mission. Book Two: The Dreamer, the Schemer, and the Robe brings Max, Liz, and friends to work behind the scenes in the life of Joseph in the land of Egypt. The Epic Order of the Seven® series picks up where the Max and Liz series left off. Book One: The Prophet, the Shepherd, and the Star gives Max, Liz, and the gang their most important mission yet: preparing for the birth of the promised Messiah. Their seven-hundred–year mission takes them to the lives of Isaiah, Daniel, and those in the Christmas story. Book Two: The Roman, the Twelve, and the King unfolds the childhood, ministry and passion of Jesus Christ with a twist – his story is told within the story of George F. Handel composing Messiah. Book Three: The Wind, the Road, and the Way covers Acts 1-18 and Paul’s first two missionary journeys. Book Four: The Fire, the Revelation, and the Fall concludes the story of Acts to the fall of Rome, showing the miraculous birth of the church amidst persecution by the Roman Empire.

The Epic Revolutionary Saga

Book one: The Voice, the Revolution, and the Key (2017) 1743-March 1775: covers events from the year 1743 up through the eve of the Revolution in March 1775.

Book two: The Declaration, the Sword, and the Spy (2020) March 1775-July 1776: covers events from Lexington and Concord through the Declaration of Independence.

Book three: The Marquis, the Escape, and the Fox (2023) April 1776-April 1777: covers events from the Battle of New York with the arrival of British forces through the escape of Marquis de Lafayette from France.

Book four: The Blood, the Turn and the Prize (2025) April 1777-October 1781: covers the end of the northern campaign and the southern campaign through Victory at Yorktown.

Book five: The Rise, the Fall and the Jewel (2027) October 1781-1865): covers the rise of the United States of America and the formation of the government through the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Concludes the Revolutionary Saga into the nineteenth century with liberty and justice for all.

The World War Two Saga will feature C.S. Lewis. My 10 year old says he liked how the book described the way Paul and Peter preached and how the author took the real story and added interest to it with the animals traveling through history to help the apostles. He also liked how the author used her own dog, Max, and wrote him into the Biblical story. My son is a voracious reader and loves the length (550+ pages) and quality of both this story as well as her other books. Jenny Cote is one of his favorite authors and he is always excited to get one of her books. He is eagerly waiting for her next book.

My 9 year old loved the entire series! I don't want to spoil the plot but my son loved all the characters and I felt very safe that my son was reading appropriate content for his age. He is an avid reader and will read anything so it was hard to find a book or series that matched his reading level with appropriate content. He has read all the books in the series.

My kids LOVE these books. Absolutely recommended. My oldest reads them himself and then I'll read them aloud to the others. Jenny Cote does a fantastic job making the events of the Bible come alive in the most exciting ways. And who doesn't love cute animals with all different kinds of accents?!? I have fun with that when I'm reading.

Jenny L Cote is my daughter’s (13 years old) favorite author. She is a godsend. My daughter struggled to find books with substance before she found her books. From what I understand, they are usually based on the Bible, but with animals as the main characters.

I never get tired of hearing about God's love for mankind and I know that innocent little children love to hear this to. Now what better way to tell it than to put some wonderful animals into it and capture the attention of young and old alike. After all God and animals have one very special trait in common. They both love and do not hate.

My 11 year old daughter is reading this series and cannot put it down. I love that she can be entertained by a fiction story of animals but there are scriptures and bible lessons that are absolutely accurate as a basis for the stories. Good clean books for this age group are tough to find and this one is a winner!
