Lies, Spies, and Arctic Espionage
I have discovered Lee Gimenez to be a true, mild-mannered writer who has found his Superman Alter-Ego in his larger than life hero,
J. T. Ryan.
I had just turned 75 when I first met this much younger, successful author named Lee. I was writing my 1st short story about my flying mishaps. He had just finished his 7th novel. Since then he has become my good friend and writing inspiration. We joke that with his 14th novel now published compared to my measly 6, at 83, I will never be able to catch up to him, unless he stops writing or dies. I certainly hope not. It would be a terrible loss to the world.
After staying up most of the night, I just finished reading, Fireball. I found it extremely timely, taken directly from today’s headlines of a government in Chaos and deceit. It’s another Gimenez thriller, this time, packed with layers of Lies, Spies, and Arctic Espionage,
To most readers, these are all just exciting words in this latest novel from the boundless imagination of a great author. But for me, Lee brought back alive vivid 80 plus year memories of my own death-defying true-life adventures. Virtually every scene in every chapter of Fireball is a long-forgotten reflection of my own chaotic past.
May each reader of Lee’s vast library of intriguing novels also relive their own hidden memories of exciting times long forgotten.
Thank you, Lee, for another job well done.
