      I bought this filter about a month ago along with the holder and several adapter rings. The pictures I was able to take thanks to the 16 stops of light reduction were just stunning. I could not have asked for a better long exposure tool! There was no color cast and the overall effect was completely even across the frame. The filter is just great and I would recommend it over other products like the Lee "Big Stopper".

      I assume that the light sealing gasket is left to the buyer to apply because they think that some people would prefer the filter without it. It was a pain to apply, and I almost screwed it up.

      Overall, I'm very happy with the results this product allowed me achieve.

      I purchased this and was really looking forward to using it with the Formatt Hitech filter holder. It comes with a foam gasket that you have to apply yourself, unlike the Lee Big Stopper which comes attached. Well, I put it on very carefully and it looked good. However, after a few times of sliding it in and out of the filter, the corner started snagging. This kept getting worse and worse and then the other corner did the same thing. Eventually it got so bad I had no choice but to remove the foam. Big mistake. There is now a square ring of sticky residue and pieces of foam. It would not come off in one strip. Nope. I had to pick off sections about a quarter of an inch at a time. Now my filter looks terrible and I'm not sure how to get this off. I wouldn't purchase this product or any other ND filter from Formatt Hitech again that requires self-assembly. With the amount of money you're paying, this should already be done. Looks like my next purchase will be the Lee Big Stopper. If anyone knows how to clean this off please let me know. Thanks in advance.

      Nice addition to my ND filter collection. This is a 6 stop ND filter providing a nice option when I need to be able to extend exposure time. When you want to soften clouds or water beyond what a 3 stop filter can offer, this is a good choice. My filter holder only accommodates two external filters and this option allows me the capacity to marry this filter with a 3 stop filter to achieve 9 stops of light reduction.

      I use this with a NiSi V5 filter holder and it works great. Anyone looking at a ND filter would be familiar with what they can do for you. This filter does not disappoint. Recently, I shot a waterfall in the early afternoon and achieved a shutter speed around 40 seconds. Additionally, I shot a night cityscape and the exposure time was around two and a half minutes. I can't detect any color shift due to the use of the filter.
