The AT&T Firefly is the first cell phone designed for kids 5 to 12. It is fun, brightly-colored and small enough to fit a kid's hand, while offering parents peace of mind through sensible safety features. Besides the two easy-access Mom and Dad speed-dial buttons, it accepts up to 20 PIN-controlled phonebook entries and allows parents to set incoming call screening. In all, the AT&T Firefly is easy to use, and offers families with young kids a safe and enjoyable way to stay in touc

My son loves this phone! He has called his grandparents several times, as well as his Dad and I, just to say hi and I love you.
It was a bit of a pain to input the phone book, without a key pad, but well worth it for my sons ease of use. I love the fact I can set the phone to only accept calls/ dial out to numbers I programmed in. No crazy phone calls to China :)
It did come with an AT&T sim card, but I used one I got at the AT&T store when I added him to my plan. It works great, no problems at all.
The only down fall is sometimes the quality of reception is poor. (meaning it is hard to hear the individual/child on the phone)
