Overall I'm extremely happy with this little guy.
I put a 64 gig mSata in it and maxed out the RAM. I decided to skip pfSense and installed Ubuntu Server 16.04 on it as an iptables firewall/router for my network. That installed relatively easy after I dug up an old VGA monitor. Only problem I had was the installer could not find the media after a certain point. I unplugged the thumb drive, plugged it back in and then the installer found it - which is amusing since I booted from the thumb drive and started the install from it.
You may save $10 and 10-15 minutes if you get their preconfigured model with SSD and RAM. During the 155 Mbps speedtest, it averages about 15-17% cpu usage. I also run openvpn on it, but haven't yet tested or benchmarked the thoughput or cpu usage. This unit as a dual core Celeron J1800 Bay Trail @ 2.4GHz. For presumably better VPN throughput, or more complicated routing than the standard WAN/LAN, they do make a 4 port model with a beefier quad core Celeron @ 2.0Ghz, but I have no experience with that model.
Overall, quite satisfied with how this handlet my 150/150 Mbps FIOS home connection.
I see that other users also mentioned that it died after a short period ( some mentioned 18 months)
I expect for a device which is supposed to work as a router to be working for at least 5-10 years if not more.
