Inflated specs - definitely not 2100W starting power

After buying this unit from Coscto and using it for over a year, I can give you my thoughts on this product. It is decent for the price, however I can tell with using it that the wattage is definitely inflated on paper.
I have a 1500W In-fared garage heater and this unit chugs for about 3 seconds (red surge light will stay on) before it can bring the idle up to handle the load.
I have installed a hour meter/tach and it idles at ~3,000 RPM and around 4850-4950 RPM with a decent sized load.
In comparison to my friends 1600 Watt Yamaha is that the Firman is rated at more starting and running power but it definitely does not handle it. The Yamaha will easily power my air compressor while the Firman W01781 does not have the power to do it. Strange as Firman rates their power of the W01781 over the Yamaha's and simply doesn't not have 2100W starting power.

My first inverter after hurricane Maria i used this generator from 425w to 500w 5 gallons of gas last 63 hrs we all at the house were impress. Is very
low tone Voltage is very stable all time at 120v 60Hz all the time. My second inverter exactly the same on voltage and HZ.

Less than 100 hours...NO SPARK!

Bought this from my RV Dealer (Not Amazon). Bought 2 of these to run in parallel to run my son's life support equipment in our camper. Pretty quiet...happy with that. On our 6th trip (2 months out of warranty), one of them quit running in the middle of the night. It has no spark (oil sensor is good as is the oil level. Called Firman and they wont help out. They do not make a service manual, so there are no resistance specs or wire diagram for testing. If you get 100 hours out of one of these, consider yourself lucky!

I ordered this unit in a bulk buy last fall and it arrived as promised a month or so ago. Everything was in the box and it arrived in great shape. Today I read the instructions, added oil & fuel and it started and ran perfectly. It's quiet and I am halfway through the break in period and all is well.

The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the back panel is removable and uses a "star shaped" screwdriver to do so. The picture shows that i received a "slotted" screwdriver which did not work.

I am happy thus far and will update the review should I receive the proper tool and have some hours on the machine....

Filled with oil and gas she weighs 50lbs. Not sure about the "whisper quiet" claim. My other 3400W champion isn't any louder @59 dBA. In normal mode it runs a 1850W blow dryer full bore no issues. In eco mode she stalls when trying to run it full bore, turning it on slow first and then full, it works fine. When it stalls i needed to pull the choke to get it started again. All in all it works as expected so far.
