Great pictures, but too easy to chew.
on December 11, 2016
This is a great picture dictionary that can be used with infants. The illustrations are very large and colorful to keep the attention of the little ones. The pages are hard, which makes it easy for our new readers to turn the pages.
This book is great for talking to infants about things they see in the world every day. I liked how colorful this book was and that it used photographs. I also liked how the words were categorized, rather than being alphabetical or something.
This would be an awesome book for pointing and naming. And, the picture of the kitten was super cute :)
I didn't love the selection of words, though. With only 100 words, I was surprised that three sets of words were all animals. There were a few others I wouldn't choose as well, like "motorcycle," "slippers, and "pencil."
And I was surprised that the first section was all two-word phrases of the colors. Overall, if I was going to choose 100 words, a lot of them would have been different.
Also, I would not recommend this for those babies who are about have teeth, they will just chew all the book, like my daughter.
