However, the path of true love never runs smoothly and Gabriel has to fight through his own doubts and fears, to overcome his father's domination of his life and the ridicule of his friends. He has to learn to believe in himself and that the decisions he has made for his own life can be relied upon. In Isabella he finds a woman worth fighting for, as he falls in love not only with her, but her children as well.
An enjoyable story for all us who still believe in fairy tales!

She gets off of work early one night so she goes to surprise her husband, only to catch him cheating. She kicks him out and files for a divorce. Isabella has no need for a man. She only wants to concentrate on her kids and her job.

Read to find out if Isabella gets her prince and a happy ever after.
First a Dream is a beautiful, uplifting love story between two young adults who enter each other's lives at a critcical time. Gabriel, a billionaire playboy who has never known love is finishing his graduate classes in the states over the summer. Isabella is a newly single mother of two small children who has all the reasons in the world not to trust.
When these two literally bump into each other at school, I'm left to wonder if it's fate, destiny, or beshert; and, if there wasn't some kind of magic at hand?
Although their courtship appears to be progressing, Gabriel is witholding vital information from his father and friends that will rock the relationship to its core.
I found First a Dream to be refreshing; you can relate to the mistakes that both Gabriel and Daphne make, and respect their decisions. This is the first of what I'm sure will be a wonderful series!
1. Nothing beats a dual POV book. I enjoy reading from both the hero and heroine's POV
2. The story itself was okay, enjoyable, BUT... Yeah, there's always a but. You can choose to read my BUTs later or you can choose to discover them on your own.
1. Everything felt flat for me. Scenes and conversations didn't flow naturally to me.
2. It's a bit draggy for me. It usually takes me 2-3 days to finish a book. This book took me a week.
3. Normally, I can ignore typos. But this has too much typos for my liking, I had to reread sentences. Sometimes I skip it if I felt unsure of the word I replaced on my mind.
4. I don't know if it's just me but sometimes I get confused on whose POV it is i'm reading.
Even though Isabella was going through a rough time she was strong and always there for her kids. I really loved that about her. She always put them first. Then there was Gabriel. He tried to be so perfect for his friends and family. In the beginning that is what I didn’t like about him. Then, while reading, I understood why. After reading more about him you cant help but fall for him. I loved the way he treated her and her kids.
* I was given a copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review. All opinions are my own.
Gabriel has to prove himself, over and over, to Bella before he can win her over, but the way he goes so overboard to make her and her kids happy is really cute.
This was a quick read that leaves you with a smile on your face.
