About the Author
Kate Lattey's experience with horses began when she first started riding lessons at the age of 10. Since then she has ridden and worked with horses in several countries, including the UK, Ireland and North America, as well as at home in New Zealand. Kate has ridden and competed in show hunter, show jumping, dressage, eventing and mounted games, and has recreational experience in trail riding, hunting, driving, western riding and natural horsemanship.
Currently the Head Coach of her local Pony Club branch, Kate is a regular competitor in Hunter Jumper competitions, and is often called upon to judge and announce at various events. Her wealth of experience and knowledge shows in her writing as she explores the various styles and techniques in the equestrian world, outlining the good and bad across the disciplines and around the world, always placing an emphasis on what will make a happy, healthy horse.
