If you like breath taking thrillers, here is the set for you. There are so many twists and turns in these stories you will need a score card to keep everything straight....and good luck with that! I love the way D.F. writes his stories!!! There are four of in my opinion his best works right here in this set!
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. It's a bundle of 4 novels by the same author. Each one is extremely well written. They're a little dark in tone, but the psychological depth is surprising. They encourage you to reflect more on human relationships, the way we interact and society on the whole. Thank you so much for these!
The author does a fantastic job of playing with your head with these edge of your seat psychological thrillers. The four books are all diffrent in their thriller approach. The characters are well developed and with all the twists and turns in each of the books keeps you guessing what will happen next! These were my introduction to this author and I look forward for more.
I had a hard time reading these books as they were too 'exciting' for me. Scared the bejabbers out of me, in fact. Well written and for someone who isn't a scaredy cat like me, they would be must reads. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
These four fantastic books, even though different in content, draw in the reader with characters that are interesting and relatable. My favorite of the four was definitely The Good Lie, but all are great reads!
All four books were hard to put down, but I do have a favorite in the first one. Psychological type thrills and chills abound throughout. If you like scary tales or setting the ugly side of humans these are for you!
If you are ready to be immersed in the darker side of one's personality and if you have ever wondered what you would do in certain circumstances that will affect the rest of your life - this is the boxed set for you.
My favorite book of the set is The Good Lie - when a kayaking accident puts a young girl in a coma and leaves a man feeling guilty for his role as a victim in the same accident, he heads down a dark path that affects both his mental and physical health.
While I only read an occasional psychological thriller and am picky about the authors, D.F. Bailey has definitely been added to the list! They are deep enough that I had to read a lighter mystery after each book!
I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review, but, as you can see, I bought the set anyway,
I received an ARC of this set of four novels from the author with the promise of an honest review. To date I have read "Healing the Dead" and "The Good Lie". They were both fantastic reads! I'm a fan of psychological dramas, so these two novels were "right up my alley". The characters were deep and brooding, and entrapped by their own minds. I plan on reading "Fire Eyes" and "Exit from America" within the next few weeks. Mr. Bailey is a great storeyteller. His characters come alive via his crisp and polished writing. At a dollar for all four books, you can't go wrong by picking up this collection.
