I bought the whole series from K-5. My school didn't have a computer curriculum and as a new tech teacher I really needed some guidance. I did a lot of research and finally found this series. What a godsend! It not only tells you what to teach but gives links to the on-line resources you need to do the teaching. Lots of suggestions for free online alternatives to commercial programs that either the school won't pay for or that the school IT support never actually get around to installing, no matter how much you beg, plead and grovel. It isn't that the book is revolutionary; it just puts it all together so you don't have to re-invent the wheel. The forum, Ask a Tech Teacher is a great resource as well.

I like the content of this curriculum; I'm sure I'll use it as a guide. However, I realized quickly that it would be much better to have the digital version from Structuredlearning.com so the links would be embedded. I did order the digital copies for other grades.

This book is amazing. The entire series has made my job so much easier. I purchased the entire series from K-6 and am awaiting the publication of grades 7 & 8. The books give you guidelines for each grade level, related links, and activities. There are posters you can print and refer to. The lessons are paced so that each grade level has exposure to a variety of topics. This is my 21st year teaching. I started teacher grades 1-3 this past year so was looking for something that was age appropriate. The authors know their content and present it in a concise manner.

I have been teaching technology for five years. I found this series last school year and purchased the books for kindergarten through second grade. I love how they are structured and cover the NET-S standards. I've used them as a starting point for some of my classes and followed them like the bible for others. They have given me the confidence to push my students and myself. I can't wait to add to my collection.

I am a k-6 computer lab teacher and have been in this position for over 10 years. I have used the ISTE standards as a guide but have never had a curriculum to follow. It's hard to know which skills to introduce when or how quickly to move. I've done ok...but I bought this book last year and quickly added the other grades. They are excellent. I like that the curriculum has a specific scope and sequence. I am able to build skills as we progress. The many resources and ideas from author Jacqui Murray on her website, blog and weekly email tips I signed up to receive just enhance the whole program even more. The software used are programs I already had, plenty of great safe websites. Easy to follow and more than enough for the whole year. Just love it.

I bought several in this series. All of them actually have a table of contents which shows the total K-6 Curriculum and when each project/assignment & application is introduced. These were the most important pages in the whole book---actually the entire series. I have gotten MANY ideas for lessons with my classes from this and the other books. They are well described with good handouts. I think kids can do more than this, if challenged. These skills are pretty basic.

This fall, I began teaching technology courses to Grades K-8. It was quite a relief that I found these books as they have a wealth of information in them. The books have lists of extra websites that can be visited for further information on your topic. I have found many great websites to introduce to my kids. I now have the whole curriculm K-6 and the additional two books used for middle school. The books are great and I would recommend the series to anyone who teaches or wants to incorporate technology in their classes.

I bought this book as a curriculum guide for first graders in my Technology Lab, I found it very useful and I did not need to have any extra software, all lessons are easy to use and adapt not only for first graders but also my KG and 2nd grade students. Excellent Customer service too.
